Nestle GLOBE project stands for “Global Business Excellence”. This is one of the largest SAP projects ever undertaken, and apart from SAP R/3 there are various other technology platforms being used. The objective of the project is to unlock Nestlé’s business potential by creating and adapting common best business processes globally. The project commenced in November 2000 and is expected to be completed by 2011. In this time frame, about 55 countries/markets all over the world are expected to go live.

Specific Responsibilities:

1. Sustain Services

He has extensive SAP trouble-shooting experience gained by working for Euro LOFAC. He has accumulated a great deal of knowledge through handling tickets of various priority including P1 and P2. He was also responsible for doing configuration for these markets. He is familiar with processes that are followed for ticket handling, escalation and resolution using Peregrine. His areas included:

Managing the work load for the team of three people.

Interaction with our GC counterparts for any issue related to configuration and incidents; module specifications & applicability.

Providing estimation of the man-hours for doing any configuration.

Coordination with Technical team for any authorization, client opening activities.

Handling the problem tickets coming from various European markets e.g. PO creation error, Release strategies, GR error, Report generation errors, Idocs issues, Tivoli Tickets Failures.

2. Learning & Training (L&T) Activities

L&T is a crucial service line provided by IBM. The users need to be trained on SAP system so that they can carry out day-to-day activities after SAP implementation. Sandeep was involved in three such L&T projects for various markets. Around 100 transactions (called demonstration exercises or DEs) were in scope for each market. He was the coordinator of 3 L&T projects for his process area. His areas included:
