Board Responsibilities

As presented in Article 4 of the San Luis Rey Watershed Council’s by-laws, the Board of Directors shall consist of 7 members. The officers of the board shall be decided upon by the board, and shall consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary, and a Treasurer. The Board of Directors shall be elected by the general membership at the SLRWC Annual Meeting on November 2016.

Nomination Protocol:

Any individual or member organization may submit this form to nominate another member, or may self-nominate themselves to fill a position on the Board of Directors. The individual nominated MUST meet the criteria of being a member in good standing and having a letter on file either on or by the date 11/7/2016, in order to be eligible.

Election Protocol:

The annual meeting, where the general membership will hold elections for the Board of Directors, will be held November 7th, 2016 at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Building. Once all nomination forms are in, the Secretary of the SLRWC will certify that all nominees meet the required criteria, and the general membership will hold elections. Each member organization will be allowed one vote for each of the seven categories. The Board of Directors will be seated at the end of the meeting. This is described in further detail in Article 4.10 and Article 14 of the SLRWC by-laws.
