The SLCUSD Safety Committee agreed to continue the Caught in the Act (CIA) of being safe program for 2011-2012. Caught in the Act is a safety rewards program recognizing employees performing safe acts. Please discuss this incentive program with your staff and encourage participation. Any SLCUSD employee can be nominated for safe acts and will be eligible for our safety drawings with the winner receiving a $25 gift card. A final drawing will be held at the end of the year with all nominees included in the grand prize drawing, a $250 gift card. I have included nomination forms which should be filled out and returned to Safety Committee at Buildings, Grounds and Transportation.

SIPE online safety modules are available to all employees. Go to www.slosipe.org

and select the Training Tab, Online Training to Log in or Register. Go to User Sign In and select the first letter of school district – S. Select San Luis Coastal Unified School District and view the available training modules. Complete a training module and send a copy of completion to Safety Committee at BG&T and be entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card

Bi-annual Health and Safety Inspections are conducted by employees on overtime salary basis. Overtime salary is paid for with Safety Committee Funds.

MIDDLE - 6 hrs. x 2 sites = 12 hrs. x $30 = $360 x 2 inspections = $ 1000.00
