Note: Substitutes must be currently employed SAISD certified teachers.
Certifications and previous assignment experiences will be reviewed by the Director of Charter, Magnet and Summer Schools, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and campus principals as part of the selection process. Hiring requirements include, but are not limited to: daily attendance, student/program documentation and participation in professional development (Saturday, June 1st or Saturday June 8th depending on position). No make-up dates will be provided for the required professional development. Professional development pay will be included as part of the Summer School salary at the completion of the entire summer program. Should staff attend PD and choose not to work, compensation for PD will not be provided.
Statement of Understanding: If hired, I agree to work on specified dates and times. I further agree not to be absent due to district and/or other professional learning opportunities held at the same time as the summer academy. I understand that employment is contingent upon student enrollment, program needs, and a complete and accurate application. Incomplete applications will NOT be accepted.
