The Region ____ screening will be held (date), at (location). The screening will begin at (time).

The election of officers for the regional, state and national levels of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America enables every member to participate in making important decisions about the future leadership of the organization. Please provide opportunities for each member of your local chapter to become familiar with the qualifications, duties, and leadership opportunities of regional, state and national officers. State Officer Candidates

Our region can elect one state vice president. In completing the qualification form the candidate checks whether he/she wishes to run for state president or national officer candidate. A screening committee will determine the candidates who will run for the office of president and national officer candidate. The final selection of the president, 1st vice-president, and 2 national officer candidates will be made by the voting delegates at the State FCCLA Leadership Conference.

Regional Officer Candidates

Our region can have a minimum of six regional officers and a maximum of 12. Candidates who desire the position of regional president must indicate this preference on the officer qualification form. The regional president candidate receiving the highest number of votes is elected regional president. The regional president candidate receiving the second-highest number of votes is elected as regional vice president. If we only have one candidate running for regional president, the regional officer candidate receiving the most votes is then elected the regional vice president.

All newly elected officers are expected to attend the State Leadership Conference. There will be a special regional officer training provided.

(Describe the procedure for selection or assignment of all other regional officers. Regional officer candidates will complete the regional officer qualification form.)
