Sample Crime Scenes

Directions: Copy this sheet and cut into five strips. Give one strip to each of your lab groups. Each group will write a script for the skit they will perform in front of the class. The group will make decisions about the type of clothing and props that will be needed for the skit. The class will try to remember as many of the details as possible and fill out a worksheet after watching the skit.

Crime # 1

This skit can be done with 3 or 4 students. You may choose to have one or two people working in the store (you may decide what type of store) and two or three people will rob the store. The robbers will have a gun but it can be concealed or they may show the gun in the robbery. Don’t forget the getaway!

Crime # 2

This skit requires a girl to have her purse stolen. You may use 2 or 3 other people to steal the purse.

Crime # 3

This is a domestic dispute between a husband and a wife. It will take place as she is going to her car to leave her husband. The husband follows the wife to the car and assaults her. It can take place inside the car or outside the car. He is mad because he thinks she has cheated on him. You may have a witness watching the assault if needed.

Crime # 4

In this skit a drug deal is going down. Two or three members of the group may be the drug dealers and one or two people may be someone that is making the buy.

Crime # 5

This skit is a bank robbery. You will decide on the number of bank robbers and people in the bank.

Witness Log

Directions: You are being interviewed by a CSI agent. You must answer the following questions about the crimes you have witnessed. Even small details are important so be sure to explain everything you saw completely.

1. Describe the physical appearance of each criminal. (Include the sex, color of hair, color of eyes, size, etc.)

2. Describe the clothing of the criminals. (Include coats, shirts, shoes, hats, etc.)

3. Describe the crime in complete detail. Where and when was the crime committed?

4. Were there any other features such as a moustache or a tattoo that you may not have mentioned in the other questions?

5. Was a weapon used to commit the crime? Describe the weapon if one was used.

6. Were you able to hear any conversation during the crime? If so, tell us all you can, including any other conversation made by anyone present at the crime scene.
