Prolog

We are pleased to see that you are showing an interest in your horoscope. While a computer is used to carry out the delicate task of calculating and interpreting your horoscope, I have tried to ensure that the interpretation is as humane as possible.
But what is this Astrology thing anyway?
Some people maintain that we humans are influenced by strange forces emanating from various planets. The popular press would have us believe that we can be split into twelve different categories, which are then filled with trivia. Astrology will only ever be as competent as the people who make use of it.
At a basic level, astrology can be regarded as a mathematical system which shows us how the planets were positioned within a circle of 360 degrees at our time of birth. In order to do this, we must take various factors into consideration. For example, there is the question of why people who are more deeply involved with astrology find it so important to know the exact hour of birth. This is easily answered!
A horoscope chart represents a circular map of the heavens at the moment of birth, with you at the center. This symbolic snapshot is relative to the location where you were born. If an observer was to look towards the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth, there would be a zodiac sign passing over that horizon. This horizon-aligned zodiac sign sets up an important positional line on your chart: the Ascendant or rising sign. It also sets up the position of the first house (called a cusp). The zodiac constellation now forms around this point, and all the planetary positions at the time of birth can then be calculated. In addition, the house system and other significant points can be computed. You now have a special symbolic map that is a reflection of your unique expression and purpose, i.e., you--all coming from your having been born at a particular time and place.
At this moment you may be asking, what brings this circular map to life? The circle is brought to life by the planets, each of them symbolizing a particular type of energy. The positioning of the planets within the houses bestow characteristics on particular areas of your life. In addition, we also consider the position of the planets in angular relation to each. An angular relationship between two planets is called an aspect. The main aspects are in 30 degree increments. The sextile (60 degrees), trine (120 degrees), and most often the conjunction (0 degrees) are generally beneficial. The square (90 degrees), quincunx (150 degrees) and opposition (180 degrees) generally provide challenges for ultimate growth. Taking all this and more into account, astrologers feel able to make statements about the manifestation of these different energies in the life of an individual.
Curious? You'll have to be patient a little longer!
Before we get down to dealing with your horoscope, I would like to draw your attention to a small problem. When you are reading through your interpretation you may be confused or irritated to find that different texts offer different interpretations of your character, e.g., Sun in Sagittarius: You are open and warm-hearted; followed by Moon in Capricorn: You may seem stoic and unapproachable. It is up to you to build your own synthesis; you will find that your character consists of many different qualities and that you have probably already learned to live with your contrasting characteristics. After 40 years, I have come to the conclusion that I should be happy about the contrasts in my character. They provide variety and opportunities to grow, although not always without suffering. I ask that you be lenient because unfortunately the computer does not know you personally and therefore cannot be expected to produce a completely rounded picture.
It is also important that you don't pick on individual words or examples in the text and try to rediscover every single detail in your own life. It is better to try to develop a feeling for the underlying energies which are manifested by a planet or aspect, even if they represent something different in your case. For here you are finally confronted with an area which is not governed by hard and fast rules, but one which can be molded by your own capacity for understanding.
Finally, it should be noted that astrology is a spiritual tool, in which many mundane interpretations can contribute to an element of your disposition and potential growth. If obsession and rejection are a part of your life, there is a lesson to learn self-love and self-esteem.
Good luck on your journey of discovery!!

AC in 12° 48' 44" Leo

You are perceived as being enthusiastic, giving, warm-hearted, and as someone who understands the big picture. You also try to dominate life. You project a strong will, a sense of dignity, and do not hesitate to offer your opinion--whether it is asked for or not. You love natural, yet not overdone, forms of luxury and dislike mundane things. You can be prudent in money matters, preferring to work as a team concerning investments and financial deals. In social circles, you can express your ideas with a certain grace and literary intellect. If you are a writer, you're probably one of the few writers who likes to work with a complimentary partner.
You are incredibly protective of your home and family, and even though you occasionally "roar" at home, you dislike any form of complaining within the family. In essence, you want to love--and be loved. If you have children, you will do your best for them and consider spiritual or philosophical concepts that will assist them. There is often a need to have your own area where you can meditate, pray, or reflect quietly. You take whatever form of work you do quite seriously and will verbally "maul" anyone who ridicules your efforts. You like to earn sufficient money to support your lifestyle and insure future security.
Although you like freedom in a close relationship, you often need to work on giving your partner the same (rather than demanding to know the truth of his or her whereabouts). Your zest for a long and full life is powerful, and if the Scorpio/Pluto elements are not strong, you may try by any means possible to postpone death. This may provide the reason for taking a lot of pills? Your philosophy is rather individualistic, and you tend to reject dogmatic influences of society and religion. You choose friends and groups who can assist you in your endeavors.

MC in 5° 40' 26" Taurus

You are driven by the need to acquire security and wealth. With a conservative and cautious approach, you should be able to achieve your goals. However, there could be a tendency to delay or stall on matters relating to certain activities.

Sun Astronomical

The Sun is referred to as the star at the center of our solar system. It is a sphere, around which the Earth rotates in an elliptical orbit. Therefore, the distance between the Earth and the Sun is not always the same. The mass of the Sun amounts to about 339,000 times that of the Earth and is more than 700 times the size of our planets combined. Its diameter counts 863,730 miles (1,390,000 kms). For an earthly observer, the Sun, rising in the east and setting in the west, seems to follow a uniform course. However, this subjective observation is incorrect. In fact, the course of the Sun moves across the equator to a northern and a southern extremity, thereby creating the seasons in the non-tropical areas on Earth. After the northerly spring-time equinox, the Sun shifts north from the equator and appears higher in the sky.
On June 21st the Sun reaches the highest point of the year. Thus, north of the equator, we experience the longest day and the shortest night; the course which the Sun describes on this day is named the tropic of Cancer. From there, the path of the Sun is headed back towards the equator and past the autumn-equinox, where it moves for two quarters below our horizon. The days become shorter until December 22nd--the shortest day of the year. Then the Sun, after bordering the Tropic of Capricorn on December 22nd, heads north again.
Its influence on our planet differs according to the season. We see this in various natural manifestations, i.e., spring--blossoms; Summer--green of the plants and yellow of the corn; Autumn--the colorful leaves; Winter--bare branches.

Sun Archetypical

Mythology depicts Helios as the sun-god. There are also accounts of Apollo as the god of storm, fire, and light--the divine son of the Sun and therewith the provider of life. Apollo is the bearer of the healing force, and he also brings illumination--with his rays he kills the dark creatures of the underworld. Dionysos represents the dark side of this light-god, the night side of our
being.

Sun Astrological

The Sun is considered male, warm, and dry. It symbolizes the ego, the core of life, vitality (especially the heart), the concept of self-confidence as well as charismatic powers. Those whose Sun is harmoniously placed will be well received and do not need to make much with words. Their appearance speaks for them. Something else is emitted when a sunny person enters a room.
The Sun also represents our basic vitality and our potential for physical malfunction, inherited in every person. The relationship between father and son or daughter can be depicted by the relative placement of the Sun. The summit of life is symbolized by the Sun as well as the success which one aims to achieve. The Sun finds its related power in the zodiac sign of Leo, the lion.

Sun in 10° 26' 39" Gemini

Geminians usually have quite an active left brain, depicting a logical, surface-conscious type of mind. You generally like variety, living in the present, meeting others, and being sociable. As Gemini is ruled by Mercury, communication in a practical or verbal form is a major expression of this sign. It also symbolizes communication through the five senses--touch, smell, sight, sound, and taste. Accordingly, you rarely venture beyond the five senses because a significant focus for you is toward tangible sense and knowledge. Socially, you may be very popular, particularly as you are often a good entertainer and an articulate companion. However, you may not enjoy being tied down to one locality or human being.
Unless contrasted elsewhere, you are not generally very emotional, which may suggest that you lack sympathy and empathy. Part of this is rooted in your own sense of individuality. It is important that you distinguish yourself from your immediate environment. You avoid any kind of dependency and conventional constraints, often bending the rules to suit yourself. Gemini can display a dual nature in that one the one hand, you want to resist strong attachments that demand your attention in ways that limit your freedom, yet you also want to be involved with more than one activity or person at a time. This dual focus often enhances your nervous energy. You should realize that self-fulfillment cannot be achieved without some form of cooperation. This is also tied to a realization that an individual's fate is connected to the whole of humanity's.
The intellectual nature of this mutable air sign suggests greater public involvement through lecturing, addressing meetings, chat-shows, editorials, etc. In extreme cases, there can be an obsession to impress others with a gossipy opinion. With such a talent for discourse, Geminians are often involved in journalism and the media in general. One of the greatest skills portrayed by many Geminians is the ability to manipulate a conversation--with or without knowledge of the subject at hand.
The practical side of this sign tends to be more service-oriented, involving the use of the hands in conjunction with processing information to keep up with a chosen skill. A classic example is that of a locksmith who enjoys the freedom to get about, obtain data on the latest variety of key structures, and be able to maintain a sense of independence.
Any love of travel will be due to the change of scenery it offers. Although you are not particularly drawn by the idea of great wealth, money is attractive to you because it provides you with the feeling of being able to do what you want. You should try to control any nervous energy that may be present. Mind and body relaxation techniques would help, as well as eating slowly. This would assist you in keeping your composure in moments of great nervous tension.

Sun in the 10th House

This position of the Sun emphasizes ambition and making one's mark on the world. Many individuals with this placement consider their career is of prime importance, particularly in relation to their personality. If you are married, this ambition can place a heavy burden on your family. The tenth house denotes your activities in the world and authority in society. Here, the Sun seeks to express your sense of being in such activities by the type of sign in which it is positioned. Such seeking may have made you rather precocious as a child.
You have an interest in politics and business and probably hold a position that places you in the public eye. With the Sun in the tenth house, you feel a strong need for recognition. You may experience conflicts between your private and professional life, where your feelings of self-esteem and/or self-confidence may be too heavily dependent on your position in public. If the Sun receives challenging aspects here, you may be too egotistical or an arrogant leader who is obsessed with power and ambition. A well-aspected Sun suggests that you are generous, self-disciplined, and paternal. On a higher level, you possess an ability for creative expression with metaphysical concepts.

Sun in Gemini in Conjunction with Mercury in Gemini

A Sun-Mercury conjunction channels physical energy into the conscious mind, enabling intelligence and a quick wit. This form of energy combination can reveal itself as high-strung, self centered, and even arrogant characteristics. Often, the ego side of the Sun's energy is dominant, providing will power and courage. On the other hand, this ego can inhibit self analysis. The house and sign in which the Sun resides can denote specific areas of activity associated with the mind and body.
You should take care when expressing or emphasizing your authority. Others may see you as threatening, though you may not want to admit it. This energized mind tends to tune out what others have to say while you think about what you want to say. In general, you like to show a relaxed yet confident personality. You often live by your wits and like to exchange ideas. Your creative abilities enable you to attain a top-ranking position. However, you consider job performance to be more important than the type of occupation. If solar energy is high, humility and compromise will allow for wonderful opportunities.

Sun in Gemini in Sextile with AC in Leo

You are warm-hearted, sociable, and energetic. Your magnanimous nature wins the cooperation of others. Traveling and meeting people may be something you enjoy. With the right partner and a magnanimous personality, long term relationships should prosper.

Moon Astronomical

It is technically incorrect to say the Moon orbits the Earth. The two bodies move around a common center of gravity called a barycenter. Because the Earth is a much larger body, the barycenter is not far below the surface of our planet. The average distance of the Moon to the planet Earth is 238,613 miles (384,000 kms). The equatorial diameter of the Moon is 2,160 miles and of the Earth is 7,926 miles.
The Moon moves in an undulating motion around the apparent course of the Sun. One can distinguish between the rising and the falling Moon nodes. In the first half of its motion--from new Moon to full Moon, it is called waxing; in the second half--from full Moon to new Moon, it's called waning.
Since early times, there has been a special foretelling when a dying crescent is seen shortly before sunrise, followed by the new moon crescent rising in the west just after sundown. This changing crescent heralded new beginnings and sometimes new phases, just as is expected from a Sun/Moon conjunction.
Close to the crescent, Venus is often found as a Morning- or Evening-Star. This image of Venus and the new formed crescent Moon had a tremendous impact on humanity--leading even to the story of the immaculate conception. In many catholic churches today, we can still find the Virgin Mary positioned on a crescent.
