Sales, Marketing and Distribution Branch

The Sales, Marketing and Distribution Branch is responsible for development and delivery of the marketing program of the Mint, including development and design, marketing communications, tourism and education. The Branch is responsible for management of the Mint sales program of collectible coins through both retail and wholesale operations. The dispatch function of Logistics also resides within the branch.

Marketing Communications Section

This section provides communications and market research support to the Mint, especially in the field of marketing communications. The team performs all major event planning relating to product launches, corporate activities, and gallery exhibitions and carries out media and ministerial liaison, internal and external communications, including social media and website services.

Individual role within the Team

Under general direction:

  • Provide support to the Marketing Communications team with the roll-out of communication strategies and implementation of product promotion and events including development of promotional materials and content.
  • Manage the hardcopy and electronic correspondence including the public information email account by answering enquiries and fulfilling information requests.
  • Assist the Direct Marketing Projects Officer to track advertising budget and invoices.
  • Provide communications support to internal clients in proofreading, editing and input into strategies.
  • Assist the Communications and Promotions Officer in developing content for social media, including imagery and video.
  • Provide records management support to the teams, including the tracking, tracing and creating of electronic and paper files
  • Coordinate promotional image database and manage requests.
  • Assist in internal communications including all staff communications and meeting minutes
  • Travel for events and speaking to media as needs arise.
  • Provide administrative and switchboard support as required including collation and entry of research data and Call Centre and Dispatch assistance
  • Ensure compliance to WHS/OHS standards in providing a safe work environment

  • Degree in marketing, public relations or similar, or equivalent work experience is desirable. Otherwise interest in working in this area is essential.
  • Experience in assisting with marketing and media events including development of promotional materials is desirable.
  • Demonstrated high level of customer service, both verbally and written communication
  • Good proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of social media technologies is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
