Sales and Marketing Executive - Birmingham

This is a unique opportunity to join one of the UK's hottest new leisure brands. Rock Up currently has three sites in Hampshire, Birmingham and Hull, as well as further sites planned for 2018 and beyond.

Rock Up operates an exciting, new indoor climbing concept, combined with softplay and a high quality cafe. The concept is best described as 'theme park meets climbing wall' and has proved hugely popular with consumers.

As the company expands, we are looking to recruit a Sales and Marketing Executiveatour Birmimgham Centre, to support the Sales and Marketing Directorin driving our business model to Groups, Schools and Corporates. The role will report to the Sales and Marketing Director, whilst working very closely with the Birmingham Centre Manger and other members of the local on-site team. This role would suit individuals with at least 2 years’ experience from a Sales and Marketing background, or a recent Marketing graduate.

Key responsibilities include:

•Work with the Sales & Marketing Director and the site local team to grow the business via effective local marketing and sales

•Work closely with the Centre Manager to optimise business plan and budget for the site

•Exceed business targets including: spend per head, visitor return frequency, awareness, new customer acquisition, customer rate and recommendation, group sales

•Contact specific ‘Groups’ to sell bookings. Including: Primary and Secondary Schools, Scouts/Guides, Home Ed, Corporate, Charity, Special Needs. Surpass group sales targets

•Utilise all exiting marketing materials and channels to drive awareness, attendance and bookings across venue catchment

•Create and manage a sales and marketing calendar covering seasonal and other activation periods

•Work with shopping centre managers and tenants on co-marketing activities to promote the site in centre and externally

•Plan, set up, manage and promote special events such as character days, workshops, seasonal days, tenant evenings etc

•Promote Rock Stars increase numbers on programme

•Promote Soft Play and Toddler climbing alongside core climbing

•Work with the Party Team on the promotion and selling of birthday parties locally

•Manage and keep up to date contact data bases

•Manage in venue POS and marketing to upsell and cross sell products and offers

•Manage café communication including point of sale and offers

•Manage implementation and promotion of pricing activities

•Sell gift vouchers through the year with major push for Christmas

•Propose and manage local promotions

•Manage local marketing budget as needed

•Responsible for local posts on social media and emails to local data base approved in their Calender plan

•Work with local media such as newspapers, radio to promote the sites

•Create and manage local PR opportunities

•Carry out research and data capture as required

•Collect and share information on ‘competitors’ including offers, marketing, group sales pricing etc

•Manage local feedback (star ratings, NPS)

•Produce local sales and marketing reports on a weekly and monthly basis with commentary and suggested actions

•Assist with pre-launch materials for new sites (where applicable)

The ideal candidate must have:

-At least 2 years experience within a relevant Sales and Marketing role, or a Marketing or Business Studies degree.

-Experience of working within the Leisure/Hospitality industries beneficial, but not essential.

-Prior experience of the schools / children groups market, or have a good understanding of how to manage school/group relationships

-Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

-Well organised and able to manage time efficiently.

-Be pro-active, able to work alone and equally be able to work as part of a wider sales team and the local onsite team.

-Proficient IT skills.

-Ability to multi-task, be responsive to opportunities and work in a fast paced leisure setting.

-Flexible working pattern to meet business and Customer needs (early morning, evening, weekends)

-An outgoing and enthusiastic personality and a positive attitude.

Rewards
This role is based on a basic + commission reward structure which is commensurate with experience.
