Sales Account Manager, Light Reading

Light Reading are looking for a passionate Sales Account Manager who will partner with and ensure the long-term success of our customers across both media brands. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with your portfolio of assigned customers, and prospect to bring new customers into your client portfolio through a geographic territory. You will liaise between customers and internal project management and accounting teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our media and event solutions according to customer needs.The successful applicant will be responsible for selling integrated marketing solutions including, but not limited to: online banners and skyscrapers, whitepaper creation/promotion, webinars, video interviews and conference sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers
  • Work to develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and maximize spend
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Communicate clearly the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Forecast and track key account metricsand contribute to regular sales & team meetings
  • Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
  • Develop and maintain an awareness of the telecoms and IT markets
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-years of sales, account management or other relevant experience
  • Minimum 4-years of online media/event sales experience
  • Reports directly to EMEA Director Group Sales (based in UK)
  • Ability to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences and tradeshows
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience with various CRM Tools (Salesforce), Microsoft Office, Xcel, PowerPoint, Word
