Cooling Tower Chiller (1205M6-5351-0001) Mfg York, installed in approx. 1995 on third floor of building, includes all associated equipment, such as Cooling tower (est 121 tons), chiller disconnect (600 amps, 240V) & Garratt Callahan Water Treatment Device, & sub-panel that operates unit.Working when last used. Roof of the penthouse is built so that the portion over the actual chiller can be removed to lift the unit out of thebuilding.

GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITY: The Forest Service Laboratory will be responsible for removing the portion of the building over the chiller, capping water lines, turning off power to the unit repairing the roof, however the successful bidder will be responsible for confirming utilities are disconnected prior to commencing with removal.

PURCHASER’S RESPONSIBILITY: Purchaser will be responsible for providing crane and appropriate equipment personnel to effect safe removal & will need to take care not to damage the existing roof while removing equipment. The refrigerant is in a closed loop system so bidder won’t need to drain it unless the boiler is taken out in pieces. Bidder will need to cap the water below the roof line that feeds the boiler.Any debris generated by the removal of this cooler will be the responsibility of the purchaser must be properly disposed of. Purchaser will be responsible for any damage caused to the property that is not consistent with the removal of the cooler.

INSURANCE NEEDED TO BID: Successful bidder/company must provide to the Sales Contracting Officer: proof of current $1,000,000 liability insurance & $100,000 in workman’s compensation for themselves any contractors they may use,prior to bidding. Once the certificate of liability insurance workmen’s comp insurance have been received and evaluated, a bid button will be assigned bidders will be notified that they can begin to bid.
