Salary in the range £49,149 to £56,950 per annum pro rata
Leeds Trinity University and Leeds SCITT, a designated a School Centred Initial Teacher Training provider (SCITT) areseeking to appoint a Director who will share our vision and passion to develop and deliver an outstanding training programme. This will enable us to continue to provide high quality ITT programmes in the areas of Leeds and Bradford.
The postholder will be employed by Leeds Trinity University, who validate the PGCE programme which has 60 Masters Level Credits attached to it.
The Leeds SCITT has a strong track record of delivering secondary PGCE programmes in partnership with Leeds Trinity University since 2003. In the time since its inception, Leeds SCITT has grown in terms of the size of provision and has demonstrated improving outcomes for trainees over many years. The employment, retention and promotion statistics for our trainees is a significant strength.
This partnership offers exciting teacher training programmes in which trainees benefit from the very best ‘hands on and tailored’ training in the lead schools and other partnership schools across our partnership. Trainees gain experience working in comprehensive schools and academies in both rural and inner city settings.
The Leeds SCITT programme is strategically led by the SCITT Board which includes representation from Leeds Trinity University and each of the lead schools:
Carr Manor – lead school for MFL
Cockburn – lead school for Dance, Drama and Music
Corpus Christi Catholic College – lead school for History and RE
Guiseley – lead school for Art and Design and Design Technology
St. Mary’s Menston – lead school for English and Maths
Titus Salt – lead school for Computer Science and Geography
Wetherby – lead school for Science.
