Troup County Landfill

Troup County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids on 12 acres of property located adjacent to the Troup County C & D Landfill property.

Said property is more fully described as follows:

All that tract or parcel of land situate, lying and being in Land Lot 249 of the 7th District of Troup County, Georgia, containing 12.0 acres, and being a portion of that 34.800 acre tract shown and described on that certain plat of survey entitled “Survey for Jared T. Jones” prepared by Camp & Associates Land Surveying, P.C., Andrew M. Camp, GRLS No. 2978, dated December 1, 2011, and revised December 8, 2011, as the same is recorded in Plat Book 76, Page 125, Troup County, Georgia, Deed Records, with such plat of survey being incorporated herein and made a part hereof for the purpose of a more complete and accurate description. Said approximately 12 acre tract is more particularly described as follows: Begin at an iron pin found at the Southeastern corner of said 34.800 acre tract and travel thence N 85° 50’ 59” W a distance of 1511.02 feet to an iron pin; thence travel N 01° 14’ 23” E a distance of approximately 346 feet; thence travel East along a line approximately parallel with the Southern boundary line of said 34.800 acre tract to the Eastern boundary line between said tract and the property of Fred Murphy, Jr.; thence travel S 01° 56’ 25” W along said line to the point of beginning.

The property to be conveyed by warranty deed and subject to restrictions as set forth in Warranty Deed to Troup County, Georgia dated December 28, 2011 and recorded in Deed Book 1633, Page 637, Records of the Clerk of the Superior Court of Troup County, Georgia, and those matters shown on plat of survey referenced therein.

A minimum of $105,226.25 for the 12 acre tract is required. Bids below this minimum will be rejected.

The successful bidder will be required to pay the cost of a new survey of the tract.

Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, marked “Sealed Property Bid”, to Diana Evans, Purchasing Director, 100 Ridley Avenue, Suite 3100, Lagrange, GA 30240 no later than 11:00 a.m., August, 17, 2015 and will be opened at 11:00 a.m. at such location. The successful bidder will be notified within 48 hours and payment must be submitted at the time of closing.

All bids must include the bidders’ name, address and telephone number.

The county may reject any or all bids or make any decisions deemed to be in the best interest of Troup County. All bids must include complete name, address & telephone number of bidder.
