Project : Modeling of Transmission Case

Client : ISUZU MOTORS, JAPAN.

Highlights:

·  As per reference of 2d input drawing and unparametric solid, the model was converted to parametric solid model.

·  The component was modeled parametrically and then the features are layer categorized orderly and Draft angle is applied for casting part for removal of core and cavity.

·  Surface tolerance checked between the parts to meet within the limit by importing and merging the parametric solid with input solid.

·  Then with reference of 2D TIFF image, Detailing was done for the casting part.

·  Quality check was done as per ISUZU standards for both modeling and Detailing.

Project : Manufacturing drawing creation for Engine Cover & piston.

Client : MAZAKINA, JAPAN.

Highlights:

·  Study on inputs of engine cover & piston models to create production drawings.

·  Client interaction held for a modification on part found an unwanted solid portion was overlapped on the top of the piston.

·  After the confirmation from the client, model has been modified.

·  Then the production drawing for Engine cover & piston were created with GD&T symbols, as per ASME standards.

·  Quality check was done as per Mazakina’s standards.

Project : Product development of interiors (plastics)

Client : Honda, Japan.

Highlights:

·  Development of concept surfaces and study of mating parts with IP.

·  Surface modeling of interior car components like Center panel/Dash board, panel meter, stereo panel, side sill, lower panel, switch board, shift knobs, trim wheel, and Arm rests.

·  All instrumentation panels are modeled in an absolute position and then assembly structure of IP has been created.

·  3d surface and 2d images are given as an input reference, from the surface edges were interpolated and then non associative surface has been created for the whole complex surface of the input.

·  Surface Thickness must be created from 2.3mm-2.5mm for all respective components.

·  To fit the panels with IP, a seating arrangement has been developed for the panels.

·  Preliminary design review done by the client, then final design was confirmed.

·  finally Quality check was done as per Honda standards

Project : Tool design, Layout & Detailing for weld fixtures

Highlights:

·  Tool design, Layout and Detailing were done for the automotive weld fixtures of GMC and GMX models.

·  This program consists of weld tools for automotive under body, Upper structure, Closures & Framers Units like Clamping units, Locating pin units, Rest units, and Pusher unit are detailed as per the production standards of General motors.

·  Detailing is done for make detail components and layout is done for the assy., files, Key-sheet for to identify whole unit position and BOM creation for to identify the parts to purchase or manufacture it.

Project : Modeling of and LCV parts and harness tubes.

Client : ISUZU Engineering Corporation, Japan

Role : Design Engineer & Quality Checker

Highlights:

·  Solid Modeling, Assembly and Drafting of LCV Frames like Suspension Cross-members, Side members, Chassis Assembly, cabin parts, Front lid, Dashboard, Cabin Underbody, Side panel, Front panel and all LCV frame underbody parts for ELF model.

·  Converted 2d drawings into feature based 3d parametric models.

·  Further Wave Linked Body, Linked Mirror & Part families concepts are used for assemble the class B frames.

·  Created harness for fuel supply, Air supply Electrical harness with reference of point coordinates in given input sheets and in 2d drawing. Then all the harness pipes are assembled to air and fuel tanks.

·  Communicated with On-site coordinator/Client for clarifications in models.

·  Guided/assisted engineers in modeling, interpretation of drawings, specifications & concepts.

·  Monitored and improved the quality of the projects delivered, and ensured the timely delivery of the projects.

·  Roof panels Assembly of Bus Body and truck body are modeled with reference to the unparametric 3D curve and unparametric surfaces

·  The parts are created within the tolerance of 0.01. Further the components are assembled to form a complete layout.

The assembly model is then verified for any interference. Official Drafting is done with 4 precision.

Project : Modeling of Clutch casing (Casting)

Client : Hirotec engineering, Japan

Highlights:

·  Unparametric solid and 2d image are given to study the component.

·  With reference of 2d image, parting line, thickness, radius and Draft angle is applied.

·  Destructive method is followed to construct the part by the feature hollow from framed solid part and draft angle is applied for the casting for removal of core and cavity. Surface tolerance checked between the parts to ensure the shape and to meet within the limit by importing and merging the parametric solid with input solid.

·  Detailing was done with the reference of given 2d image to release for production.

·  And the features are layer categorized orderly. Quality check done as per the standards of HIROTEC.

Project : Reverse Engineering of Mud Guards for Truck

Client : ISUZU Engineering Corporation, JAPAN.

Role : Design Engineer

Software : Unigraphics NX3

Highlights:

·  The objective is to convert 2D to 3D model. Input sheet and scan curves were given for the reference.

·  Reverse engineering concept is followed to create the part.

·  The various faces have been extracted from the Input sheets. Using Free form features, tool sheets are created to trim the target body to achieve the final component. Quality check done as per Isuzu Standards.
