Safer Neighbourhood Teams work with localpeople and partners to identify, tackle and

solve issues that matter to the community

where you live.

Making neighbourhoods safer by cutting day

to day crime and anti-social behaviour is at

the heart of keeping people in West Mercia

safe. Thanks to an investment in mobile

tablet style computers, these will enable

officers to spend more time on patrol on the

street and in neighbourhoods.

Officers will continue to come to people

when they need them and provide a high

quality service however you contact us – in

person (on the street, at community bases

and at partners and communities together

[PACT] meetings), on the phone or online

OTHER TEAM NEWS

The team as usual have been extremely busy over the month dealing with a multitude of issues.

The Team is changing from next month. We are losing PCSO Angie Roberts to the Town centre and we are gaining PCSO Joe Bradley from the Town Centre. I would like to thank Angie for all her hard work over the 6 or 7 yrs she has been at Pontesbury and welcome Joe to the team. Joe is an experienced PCSO and I am sure you will get to know him in due course.

We have had our first Farm walk which took place in Cruckton. Advising farmers on crime prevention. Keep your eyes open for future farm walks. Members of the public are encouraged to attend.

We have attended coffee mornings giving reassurance to some of our more vulnerable members of the community and attended parish council meetings. We are also working with Pontesbury Parish Council in relation to the Library steering group.

ASB is low however you would have seen the reports of Yoghurt being thrown over cars etc. The team have spoken to many persons about this and offered suitable words of advice, at the moment it has stopped. As with all ASB it can spring up at any time please call us or the council if you have any worries or issues. The Police Web Site and our twitter page are an important source of information, keeping you all fully updated with issues that are happening on the area. Please keep an eye on our items of news and if you are in to twitter and facebook please see our links on the Local Policing page, please encourage friends, family and colleagues to follows us.
