-Administrative Report presented by Mrs. Bucolo

  • Chad, Calvin, Stevenson-Thank you for your hard work to get our campus back in order after Hurricane Irma.
  • The district cut the down trees and put them in piles around the campus. Another company will be coming to remove down trees.
  • In about a month, they should be finished painting the entire school.
  • The District lifted all PD meetings off site, lifted tardies, offering free breakfast and lunch until October 20th.
  • Make up days have not been negotiated yet.
  • Thursday, September 21st, no school for Jewish holiday.
  • Media Center-HSA did an amazing job with our new library! We are blown away! Thank you Mrs. French and Mrs. Weightman for your creativity and time!
  • Enrollment-about 455 students as of today
  • We are an A school (woo hoo!)- Thank you to our staff and families for making it possible!
  • Curriculum meetings have been rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma

5th grade will be next Friday, September 29th and 4th grade will be the following week.

  • Picture day has been rescheduled as well.

-School Accountability and School Improvement Plan

  • “A” School with an overall 478 points-we had tremendous gains
  • Science Achievement went down but we are continuing to vertically align standards from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade.
  • Thank you Cari for doing make and takes for teachers to make centers.
  • Primary EOY Reading Test-first and second grade made gains as well
  • PLC Focus-reading, writing, math, science/social studies, and growth mind set.

  • Single Sign-On replaced Beep (K-5)
  • Thank you HSA for purchasing Spelling City, Flocabulary, Mentor Texts, and Mountain Language
  • Thank you Mrs. Bucolo for purchasing RAZ Kids
  • Teachers are in the middle of doing BOY assessments, conferences will start soon
  • AR is up and running!
  • Focus: How a scientist thinks
  • Please encourage parents to come to curriculum meetings
