1 BF PC Documentation Setup
This screen is used to add BF PC Documentation topics. The topics are defined as prenatal or postpartum with the ability to indicate which ones require a yield/referral. This is also where the user orders the display of the topics in list boxes on the BF PC Documentation screen. When topics are no longer needed, they can be deactivated.

Control / Description /Add Row / Clicking the Add Row button adds a row to the bottom of the BF PC Prenatal Topics data grid.

BF PC Prenatal Topics / The BF PC Prenatal Topics data grid displays all active and deactivated BF PC Prenatal Topics. This is where a user defines the sort order for the topics within the Prenatal Topics list box on the BF PC Documentation screen. All deactivated topics have a check mark indicating this status. This grid is scrollable as needed.

1. At initial access or after a save, sequence of the BF PC Prenatal topics grid is by the grid’s Sort Order column.
2. The BF PC Prenatal Topics grid is a sortable grid. Clicking a column heading name causes the grid rows to sort in the sequence of that column’s data. Clicking once sorts from A-to-Z. Clicking again sorts from Z-to-A.

2 BF PC Setup
This is the screen that peer counselor coordinators use to make a user a breastfeeding peer counselor (BF PC), give additional attributes to a breastfeeding peer counselor, or deactivate a breastfeeding peer counselor. This was not incorporated into the initial user set up because user set up may be done at a different security level than set up of the breastfeeding peer counselors.
NOTE: A user in the MPSC application may have update security rights to one or multiple clinics. When a user is also made a BF PC, there is nowhere on the BF PC Setup panel to indicate specific clinics where they may perform BF PC functions. That is because a BF PC has rights to perform BF PC functions for every clinic they also have update security rights to. This all-or-nothing security situation creates a potential problem that a BF PC Supervisor must be aware of. Consider this situation:
· A BF PC has update rights to Clinic 1 and Clinic 2.
· The BF PC Supervisor of Clinic 2 determines the user will no longer be a BF PC for Clinic 2 and Deactivates the BF PC.
· Because the security for a BF PC is all-or-nothing, the supervisor has also, perhaps unwittingly, deactivated the BF PC from working with participants in Clinic 1 too.

Control / Description /New / Clicking the New button causes all fields on the BF PC Set Up screen to be enabled. This action also makes the “Make BF PC” button enabled.

Make BF PC / Clicking the Make BF PC button causes a person to be designated as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor (BF PC). A row is added to the top of the BF PC History grid and the Effective Date is set to today’s date. The Deactivate BF PC button is enabled. After this designation, this BF PC can be selected from Peer Counselor selection lists in the application.

Deactivate BF PC / Clicking the Deactivate BF PC button causes a person to not be designated as a BF PC any longer. The Deactivation Date for the current period is set to today’s date. This action also removes this BF PC’s name from Peer Counselor selection lists. The Make BF PC button is enabled.

Record Date / This is the record selector for the BF PC Setup records. It contains the recorded date. The drop-down and spin control allow selection of historical BF PC Setup records. When the New button is clicked, this date defaults to today’s date.
