WHEREAS, there exists a need to establish a policy and procedure for the use of Fire District No. 2 Training, Seminar & Approved Shows.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of Fire District No. 2, Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey that the following Training, Seminar & Approved Shows is established.
PURPOSE:
To establish policy and prescribe procedures regarding per-diem.
GUIDELINES:
All requests for per-diem must be submitted in writing to the Board of Fire Commissioners.
Fire Companies are to supply to the Board of Fire Commissioners with the names of the Training, Seminar & Approved Shows, billing address and approximate price and number of classes per day.
All attendees must complete a minimum of 50% of each day’s classes to qualify for reimbursement & per Diem.
The Chief or President will certify that the attendees have made their minimum requirements for reimbursement.
All receipts must be signed by the vendor upon completion and must be accompanied by vendor’s original invoice.
The Board of Fire Commissioners will reimburse the Fire Companies.
· Room rate set by (GSA Government Per-Diem Rate) by city for single occupancy. (Where available) or up to $250.00 per night.
(The Board of Fire Commissioners will reimburse the Individual Fire Company)
· Food & expenses set by (GSA Government per-Diem Rate) by city or $70.00 per day which either is more.
(THE BOARD WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY ALCOHOL BEVERAGE)
· Mileage to be set by GSA Privately owned vehicle reimbursement rate.
Payment will be issued upon supplying original itemized receipts and or bills.
