TOURNAMENTS – Rob Cothern

Mr. Cothern reported that the ad for tournaments will be placed in Let’s Play Hockey in July and August. The dates for our tournaments remains consistent as the belief is that outlying organizations can better plan a visit to our community. The only tournament that is not decided is the U15 A/B as the numbers appear low and we may not have teams at both levels.

Mr. Cothern reported that he was approached by the RASC regarding sanctioning a tournament they are hoping to host in Rochester in October. The Tournament is called One Hockey. It is requested that D9/MN Hockey be contacted to see if it is allowed to sanction the tournament before we commit. Mr. Cothern will look further into this and report back.

BOOSTERS – Kara Kleinschmidt

GIRLS UNIT- Guy Gallaugher

Mr. Gallaugher and Mr. Cummings reported to the board on a recruitment initiative they would like to begin to build the girls program. This plan would include flier handouts, try hockey days for girls, and Facebook notices. After discussion a motion was made to provide up to $1,200 for the Girls Unit to promote Girls hockey to the Rochester and surrounding communities. Motion approved.
