Rush University is seeking an experienced, independent, and dynamic Psychologist!

Position Highlights:

The Psychologist (PhD) provides counseling to Rush students through the University Counseling Center, an integral part of the Division of Student Affairs. He or she will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Provides the following counseling services to students

Individual counseling

Couples counseling

Outreach programming

Consultations with faculty and staff

Crisis intervention

  • Counseling Center clinicians also provide services to Rush University Residents and Fellows.

Position Qualifications Include:

  • Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
  • Current licensure as a psychologist in Illinois required
  • Five (5) years of post-graduate experience, preferably in a university setting.
  • Prior work experience providing culturally competent services to a diverse student body is preferred.
  • Knowledge of common mental health issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress management, suicidal ideation, and trauma associated with sexual assault.
  • Demonstrates strong generalist clinical skills
