  • Stocktaking
  • Reports
  • Using the History function
  • Statistics

1.15-4.00pm / Online catalogue enhancements including topics such as:
  • Digitisation: Local History tab
  • Newly added titles tab
  • Shelf browse

Wednesday 11 November
DAY 2 THEME - PROMOTION
9.00-9.30am / Q&A from previous day –facilitated by Leonie Berwick
9.30-11.30am / Reporting your library activities to Council – Ross Duncan, Director, Regional Access and Public Libraries (RAPL)
Working more effectively with Council - Deb Miles Manager, Strategic Initiatives, RAPL
  • Presentations from senior SLQ staff and an opportunity for group discussion

11.30-12.30pm / How to increase membership – presented by PLD librarians
  • Membership drives
  • Targeting non-members
  • E-members
  • Tourists
  • Boarding schools
  • Diversity

1.15-4.00pm / Group problem solving and sharing – facilitated by Deb Stumm (to be confirmed)
  • Each participant has 10 minutes to share a problem or a success with their colleagues and discuss.

Thursday 12 November
DAY 3 THEME – PRACTICAL LEARNING TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS
9.00am – 4.00pm / Customise your learning – spend the day speaking with the experts in various areas that you book in advance.Some of the sessions are onsite at SLQ at South Bank as noted below. Participants can choose more than one topic and below are some suggestions.
We can help book you in. Please email or phone Leonie Berwick or you library mentor with your preference. Choose 2 topics as there should be an opportunity to do 2 depending on location.
