Technology Tips Introduction
ThisIssues In Instructional Technologycourse deals with the complexities and problems of technology integration into the delivery and instruction of a classroom. Through discussions with colleagues and teacher feedback, I have learned many new technology integration ideas that my students can benefit from. There are many new Web 2.0 tools being developed that allow for student learning. I have learned how to carefully select the technology that will be useful for my students in my classroom. It is extremely important for all teachers to take inventory of this new technology integration and decide if the outcome is what is expected or desired while preparing for prospective changes in technology in the classroom.
Google Documents Technology Tips
One of the best technology integration idea I have learned is to get students involved in a class blog and have all students create a Google email to become advanced in using Google Docs.
I have over 180 students follow my class blog and all students are sending assignments using the Docs program. This will prepare students to use web 2.0 tools and prepare them for business and their future careers.
They all began to understand the importance of Google Docs and use it to this day for all their other classes. It is also free so there are no excuses!
Podcast Technology Tips
Another important technology integration tip I have learned is to listen and use other proven techniques from specialists by listening to their podcasts. There are many great programs out there that will download them to be available as they are updated with the latest information. Check out some educational technology podcast to get newteaching ideas.
Here are some podcasts with links that I have found useful for my technology integration:
