K9Splash!2011 RULES
- Well-mannered dogs and their (well-mannered) handlers
- Proof of current vaccinations, including rabies and Parvo/distemper (from your vet!) or 2011 OLA tag. A rabies tag is NOT enough!
- Each dog must be accompanied by a responsible adult handler age 18+
- Handlers will be allowed in the pool only to help their dog in and out; no human swimming!
- Limit one dog at a time per handler; use caution when leaving extra dogs in enclosed vehicles –leaving windows cracked open is NOT enough!
Cost:
- $8.00/dog/daypre-registration or $12.00/dog/day at gate
- Volunteers receive special benefits contact Jill @to volunteer to help!
- Pre-registration is not required but is recommended and will be available through AmbrozRecreationCenter (286-5731)
- Proceeds go toward off-leash park development in Cedar Rapids!

Additional Information/Pool Rules:
- No dogs in heat
- No dogs under four months old
- No aggressive dogs
- Clean up after your dogs! (And take them out of pool area to poop.) Bags are provided.
- Dogs must wear flat buckle/snap collars when the dog is off-leash (No prong, choke or training collars will be allowed except to walk do to the entrance gate of pool). Collars will be available for purchase or rental the day of the event. Full body harnesses are okay too.
- For their safety, children under age 10 and 48” will not be allowed in pool area
- Drinking water for dogs will be provided
- Pool toys will be provided; to minimize risk of guarding, leave your dog’s toys at home
- No food in pool area; handlers may have non-alcoholic beverages
- No glass containers
- Dog life-vests are permitted
- Lifeguards will be on duty for humans but will not assist dogs
- Anyone entering the pool area will be required to sign a release of liabilityform
