Rubber Connectors and Expansion Joints

FLEXZORBER NNS:

Furnish/Install the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER NNS molded single arch spherical connector/expansion joint(s). The molded spherical body must be manufactured using multiple plies of nylon tire cord fabric bonded within the neoprene elastomer (to avoid exposure to atmosphere or media) and must be reinforced with a spring steel wire. Floating/rotatable flanges shall be zinc-coated plate steel and must have drilled bolt holes in accordance with ANSI 150# standard. The rated design pressure of the molded body must have a minimum 3:1 safety factor (burst to operating pressure) based on a maximum operating temperature of 220oF (104oC), and must also be capable of 26" Hg vacuum. Neoprene/nylon single sphere rubber connector/expansion joint(s) must be covered by the Flex-Hose Co., Inc.’s (2) year* FLEXZORBER warranty when installed in accordance with all specifications and installation instructions as described in the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER brochure and submittal drawing.

Note:Unrestrained, rubber connectors/expansion joints will extend when pressurized; therefore, it is recommended that the piping system be anchored. When anchoring is not practical, control units must be used (if vacuum... also use compression sleeves).

FLEXZORBER NND:

Furnish/Install the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER NND molded double arch spherical connector/expansion joint(s). The molded spherical body must be manufactured using multiple plies of nylon tire cord fabric bonded within the neoprene elastomer (to avoid exposure to atmosphere or media) and must be reinforced with a spring steel wire. Floating/rotatable flanges shall be zinc-coated plate steel and must have drilled bolt holes in accordance with ANSI 150# standard. Exterior galvanized ductile iron reinforcing ring between sphere arches to maintain double profile. The rated design pressure of the molded body must have a minimum 3:1 safety factor (burst to operating pressure) based on a maximum operating temperature of 220oF (104oC), and must also be capable of 26" Hg vacuum. Neoprene/nylon double sphere rubber connector/expansion joint(s) must be covered by the Flex-Hose Co., Inc.’s (2) year* FLEXZORBER warranty when installed in accordance with all specifications and installation instructions as described in the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER brochure and submittal drawing.

FLEXZORBER EED:

Furnish/Install the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER EED molded double arch spherical connector/expansion joint(s). The molded spherical body must be manufactured using multiple plies of nylon tire cord fabric bonded within the EPDM elastomer (to avoid exposure to atmosphere or media) and must be reinforced with a spring steel wire. Floating/rotatable flanges shall be zinc-coated plate steel and must have drilled bolt holes in accordance with ANSI 150# standard. Exterior galvanized ductile iron reinforcing ring between sphere arches to maintain double profile. The rated design pressure of the molded body must have a minimum 3:1 safety factor (burst to operating pressure) based on a maximum operating temperature of 250oF (121oC), and must also be capable of 26" Hg vacuum. EPDM/nylon double sphere rubber connector/expansion joint(s) must be covered by the Flex-Hose Co., Inc.’s (2) year* FLEXZORBER warranty when installed in accordance with all specifications and installation instructions as described in the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER brochure and submittal drawing.

FLEXZORBER NNDFU:

Furnish/Install the Flex-Hose Co.’s FLEXZORBER NNDFU molded double arch spherical connector/expansion joint(s). The molded spherical body must be manufactured using multiple plies of nylon tire cord fabric bonded within the neoprene elastomer (to avoid exposure to atmosphere or media) and must be reinforced with a spring steel wire. End fittings shall be galvanized steel female NPT 150# unions. The rated design pressure of the molded body must have a minimum 3:1 safety factor (burst to operating pressure) based on a maximum operating temperature of 220oF (104oC), and must also be capable of 16" Hg vacuum...

*Warranty period begins with installation date submitted on product registration card which must be returned to Flex-Hose Co. within 30 days.
