NEW COLLECTION – JANUARY 2017

ROYAL CROWN DERBYEMBRACES EASTERN ELEGANCE WITH SATORI PEARL

Maison & Objet Paris, 20th– 24th January 2017

Hall 7, Stand J166

English fine bone china perfectionist, Royal Crown Derby, embodies Spring 2017’s trend for minimal sophistication with its latest luxury offering, Satori Pearl.

This January, Royal Crown Derby returns to Maison & Objet’s prestigious Scènes D’Intérieurin Hall 7 to present Satori Pearl.Influenced by the ancient practice of Feng Shui, the new Satori collection features an inspired interpretation that represents longevity in wishing a harmonious and unified life.

Edged in indulgent platinum, the pattern’s central motif is a Feng Shui symbol of luck, prosperity and protection, while the quatrefoil on the outer rim reflects the four pillars of being. The stripes incorporated into the design complement the geometry of the pattern and draw the eye to focus on the food presentation area.

Exemplifying a mixture of cultures and traditions and bringing together west and east to enhance any fine dining experience, the Satori Pearl colour way adapts Royal Crown Derby’s striking Satori Black pattern for a more subtle pearlescent palette, with the design elevating the translucent purity of the fine bone china.

Designed by Sarah Whitehurst, Satori Pearl combines Royal Crown Derby’s British craftsmanship - using techniques that have remained largely unchanged in over 260 years - with the finest of materials.

The collection is decadent yet stylishly minimal in design, with its delicate, pearlescent pieces offered on elegantnew coupe and flat rim shapes, providing light-toned beautiful forms to complement any fine dining or luxury bridal experience.

Christopher Oakes, Sales and Marketing Director at Royal Crown Derby, said: “By offering a more subtle, neutral tone, Satori Pearl’s classic aesthetic creates an elegant, timeless collection, which is elevated by the addition of indulgent platinum, hand-applied by our skilled artisans.

“Satori Pearl provides the perfect canvas for the interior designer looking for a luxurious pattern to complement a dining experience, the chef who wishes to beautifully showcase fine cuisine or a bride wishing to elevate any wedding table setting and delight guests.”

The Satori collection, which will be available from January 2017, comprises 16cm, 21cm, 27cm and 30.5cm flat rim plates, 22.5cm, 25.5cm and 30cm coupe bowl, 14.5cm deep bowl, 27cm rimmed bowl, coffee cup and coffee saucer, Charnwood covered sugar bowl, Charnwood cream jug, Charnwood teacup and Charnwood tea saucer, Charnwood teapot.
