A somewhat belated Happy New Year to you all. I will be e-mailing or delivering copies of this Newsletter to all Committee members, the RBL Club and RBL Women’s Section. A copy will be placed on the Club Noticeboard.

Our deepest sympathies go to the family and friends of Charlie Mansford. Charlie did his National Service with REME.
Welfare Issues
All requests for assistance are dealt with by a call centre in South Wales (0808-802-8080).There is an RBL shop and pop in centre in Swindon which provides assistance.
Membership Issues
Please remember that Club fees are no longer processed centrally and these must be paid direct to the Club once you have received your new card from October 1st onwards.We strongly recommend that you pay your annual membership fee by direct debit or use Paypoint. Any queries please ask Peter Scarlett.
Poppy Appeal
As of 29th January the Poppy Appeal total is £26,299.00. Many thanks to Di Loft and all her helpers in Hungerford andMembury for all their hard work in raising this fantastic sum.

This is now operational at hungerfordroyalbritishlegion.co.uk. A copy of this Newsletter will be placed on the website by the website manager Denise Scarlett.
Remembrance Day Activities
Many thanks to all RBL members for their hard work and commitment in making the Town Paradeand Town Service at the Town War Memorial another great success. The Service was most reverential. Thanks also to the Club and Women’s Section for their assistance especially at the Club after the Parade.
Remembrance Book in the Clubhouse
Many thanks to John North for all his help in establishing the Remembrance Book in the Club foyer. Peter Scarlett has volunteered to take over the responsibility of keeping the book up to date and I would like to thank Peter for taking this on.
Remembrance Tree Planting
The Branch has paid for the planting of an Oak Tree on behalf of all members of Hungerford Royal British Legion. At the next Branch meeting we will discuss a form of dedication or none for the tree.
