Answer

Continue on the Nutbrook Trail until you reach ‘Straw Bridge’ which is known as a ‘wet land area’ or a lake.

Proceed on the Nutbrook Trail, to the right of the entrance, do not go into the wet lands.

Again continue on the Nutbrook Trail until you reach the Nutbrook Coffee Shop.

This coffee shop is only open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

What animal is coming out of the ground?

Answer

Follow the Nutbrook Trail which passes the coffee shop on the right hand side.

On reaching Shipley Lake the trail goes left and right, take the LEFT trail, keeping the lake on your right.

Follow the lake around until you come to another metal sculpture on your left, this is known as ‘Wild Weed Campion’.

Which park of a bicycle drive movement is shown on the sculpture?

Answer

Shortly after leaving the sculpture, you will enter a wooded area, the trail will go two ways, Route 67 goes to the left, do not go this way. The trail to the right is the one to take, this will keep the lake on your right hand side, which is an easterly direction.

Continue a short distance along the north side of the lake until you reach the Shipley Woodside Colliery, turn right here to go in a southerly direction.

The gates of the colliery show the dates from when the mine opened to when it closed, what are the dates?
