REGULATIONS FOR EVENT

Held under the General Competition Rules and Standing Supplementary Regulations of W2W BIKES (WOMZA 2 WHEEL BIKES) and these Supplementary Regulations, together with any Final Instructions or Official Bulletins, which may be issued to competitors.

CIRCUIT AND VENUE

The circuit is a tar macadam surface of 4.24 km in length. Phakisa Freeway is situated on the R70 between Welkom and Odendaalsrus and the race direction is clockwise.

EVENT AND STATUS

The Race Meeting will cater for Superbikes only in a closed club race.

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to all riders who hold current, valid W2W BIKEScompetition Licences andMoto Rider Academy club memberships.

ENTRIES AND GENERAL RULES FOR EVENT.

Entries open immediately and close on 8 March 2015.

The organizers reserve the right to cancel a competitor’s entry if the rider does not comply with MotoRider academy rules or W2W BIKES safety standards for motorcycle circuit racing.

REGULATIONS AND RULES OF EVENT

A>Mra Gp 1, Mra GP 2, Mra Gp 3, Mra SBK 1, Mra SBK 2, Mra SBK 3 ( minimum cc motorcycle allowed is 600 cc)

B>Riders must be minimum thirteen years old.

C>Mra TT CUP. Minimum cc motorcycle allowed is 250 cc

D>Mra Super stock. Minimum cc allowed is 150 cc.

ENTRANT’S LICENCES

Entrants may acquire a WOMZA license at R280.00 valid for 2015

Entrants must take out a club membership with Moto Rider Academy R100,00

All entrants must produce medical aid proof if they choose not to take out the Womza medical cover.Entrants declare that their own medical aid will cover themselves during practise and racing specifically motorcycles at Phakisa.

KK DOCUMENTATION & SCRUTINEERING

Documentation: under race control.

Registration between 7:00 am and 12 pm Sunday the 8 th of February.

Scrutineering between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

PROGRAMME OF EVENTS

The Provisional Programme of Events appears at the end of these Supplementary Regulations.

Should the Organisers deem it necessary to change the timetable, the revised timetable will be issued with the Final Instruction and published on the official notice board.

THE ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE PROGRAMME AS NECESSARY AND COMBINE OR SPLIT CATEGORIES PRIOR TO THE CLOSING DATE OF LATE ENTRIES SHOULD THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES DICTATE.

All race starts will feature two to three categories on the grid with a two-lane split, meaning categories with the closest times in terms of rules

Will start together but with a clear space between the fastest category in the front and the slowest at the back.

The lights will only go off once, which will indicate the start for both races and categories to commence simultaneously.

RIDERS BRIEFING:

LLThe time and place of Riders Briefings will be at the media centre on 8 March at 8:30 am hours at Phakisa.

all competitors must be present at the competitors’ briefing in the media Centre.

A representative will not be allowed. Failure to attend competitors’ briefing, at which a register will be available for signature, may incur the imposition of a fine or exclusion from race event.

MMSTARTS

NNStarting positions will be determined by a draw of a number from a hat, no official qualifying will be done.

RREND OF THE RACE

The waving of the chequered flag will signify the end of the race.

TT The official notice screen is situated at the base of the control tower, all lap times and progresswill be displayed during the course of

the event on this television or printed out documents.

UURESULTS:

Results will be made final by Clerk of the Course before Prize giving at 2:00 pm in front of pit 1.

VVPROTESTS AND APPEALS

WWProtests: Can be made to the race secretary.

xxxTIMING TRANSPONDERS

yyyany competitor taking part in official timed race without his/her transponder in position will be deemed to be a non-starter.

The Transponder must be fitted to the motorcycles left front shock absorber with the arrow facing down.

PIT RULES.

NO VEHICLE/MOTORCYCLE MAY TRAVEL IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION TO THE TRAFFIC FLOW

ON THE PIT LANE.

NO PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF SIXTEEN (16) WILL BE ALLOWED ONTO THE PIT LANE WALL.

NO ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED ON THE PIT LANE WALL OR IN PITLANE. SMOKING IN THE PITS OR ON THE PIT

LANE/APRON IS PROHIBITED.

POSTPONEMENT, ABANDONMENT OR CANCELLATION

The Organisers reserve the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the meeting or any part thereof. In the event of postponement, abandonment or cancellation, the Competitor/Entrant has no right to claim against the Promoter/Organiser in respect of any loss or damage that he may thereby incur. The meeting will not be postponed, abandoned or cancelled without the consent of the Stewards of the Meeting.

SAFETY CAR

The Organisers reserve the right to use a Safety car in the event of an incident.

RIDING CONDUCT

Competitors’ attention is drawn to the official Moto rider Academy riders conduct rules to be found on website

No dangerous/reckless riding or overtaking will be permitted or tolerated.

Riders may not overtake each other dangerously on the inside or the outside of a corner or a straight/a safe passing distance of at least two metres must be adhered to at all times.

FUEL

Only pump fuel available at a filling station and accessible to the general public may be used.

COMPETITION NUMBERS

Each competitor will receive numbers for the motorcycles at registration.

Please note: ALL MOTORCYCLES MUST UNDERGO A SCRUTINEERING CHECK PRIOR TO RACING IN THE SUNDAY CUP.
