Program This Week:Bob Arnold will give us a wrap-up on our recently completed Rotary Bowl.

Notes and Comments: Notes & Comments this week will be given by Joe Race.

Happy Anniversary: No Birthdays this week so we will take the time to celebrate this month's Rotary Anniversaries. Leading the list is Dean Shull with 26 years; Vaughn McAshan, 22 years; Stan Cox, 18 years; Steve Gold, 17 years; Kevin Kitto, 15 years; Pete Chichetto, 4 years; Becky Chichetto and Rick Harris, 2 years; and celebrating their one year anniversary in our Rotary Club this month are Ray Barkley, Walter Page, Harley Cheshier, Paul Hooten and Albert Love. Congratulations to all of these fine Rotarians on their years of Service Above Self.

From the Editor: If you haven’t had a chance to visit the new Rotary International website you need to do so. The site has been re-launched and redesigned with more images and sound and video that will put you in the middle of RI projects around the world. It has areas for new members, training, committee resources, club ideas, event calendars, policies and procedures, youth information, service and fellowship information and just about anything else a Rotarian would need to explore Rotary. Take a few minutes or an hour to explore, and put it in your favorites (Bill, I’ll show you how), so you can go back again and again.

Until next week......

Rotary News:

October is Vocational Service Month. A Rotary club-sponsored oasis in the middle of the troubled Praça Mauá neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, is giving teenagers a foothold into a promising future. As part of a series of ongoing programs supported by Rotary clubs, teenage students are learning to bake bread to help prepare them for the job market while they pursue their regular studies.
