PARENTS CODE OF CONDUCT

PARENTS AND MEMBERS SHALL SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION AND ASSIST THEIR CHILDREN (PLAYERS) IN ACHIEVING THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ASSOCIATION AND OF THE SPORT IN WHICH THEIR CHILD IS PARTICIPATING.

PARENTS AND/OR GUARDIANS SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM PRACTICES, GAMES AND BE PROMPT IN PICKING UP THEIR CHILDREN (CHILD) FROM THE TEAM ON WHICH THEY ARE PARTICIPATING.

MEMBERS AND PLAYERS SHALL TAKE PROPER CARE OF THE UNIFORMS. MEMBERS AND PLAYERS SHALL BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDITION OF THEIR UNIFORMS AND PLAYERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO REPLACE THEIR UNIFORMS AS NEEDED.

MEMBERS AND PLAYERS SHALL SUPPORT TEAM SPIRIT BY ENCOURAGING THE ENTIRE TEAM. RUDE AND UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT BY A PLAYER, COACH, PARENT OR MEMBER TO A PARTICIPANT IN A SPORT, OR ANY COACHES, OR OFFICIALS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

MEMBERS SHALL ENSURE THAT THEIR CHILD IS DRESSED PROPERLY FOR THE WEATHER AND PLAYING CONDITIONS FOR BOTH PRACTICES AND GAMES.

MEMBERS SHALL BE AWARE THAT ALL COACHES ARE ASSOCIATION MEMBERS WHO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AND EFFORT TO TEACH THE CHILDREN THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE SPORT. THEREFORE, THEY SHOULD STRIVE TO ENCOURAGE THEIR CHILDREN TO HAVE A GOOD ATTITUDE AT ALL TIMES, COOPERATE WITH THE COACHING STAFF, BE HELPFUL AND CONSIDERATE OF OTHER TEAMMATES, AND DEMONSTRATE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP AND TEAM SPIRIT FOR THE BETTER ENJOYMENT OF THE GAME.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS AND THE USE THEREOF IS NOT ALLOWED AT ANY PRACTICE, GAME OR OTHER ASSOCIATION FUNCTION OR ACTIVITY.

THE USE OF PROFANITIES OR PROFANE GESTURES, FIGHTING OR ARGUING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL ASSOCIATION FUNCTIONS OR ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING GAMES AND PRACTICES. OFFENDERS WILL BE SUBJECT TO SEVERE DISCIPLINE AND/OR SUSPENSION.

MEMBERS OR FRIENDS SHALL:

A. SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THE PLAYERS THROUGH GOOD CONDUCT AT ALL TIMES.

B. REFRAIN FROM BRINGING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS TO GAMES OR PRACTICES.

C. REFRAIN FROM USE OF PROFANITY, OBSCENE GESTURES, ETC., IN PUBLIC, OR WHILE TALKING TO COACHES, PLAYERS, PARENTS, SPECTATORS OR GAME OFFICIALS.

D. ATTEMPT TO MAINTAIN COMPOSURE AND PROPER SPORTSMANSHIP DECORUM AT ALL TIMES.

PHYSICAL ADVERSARIAL CONTACT, INCLUDING FIGHTING, IS FORBIDDEN.

FAILURE TO CONFORM TO THE MEMBERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES SET FORTH IN THIS ARTICLE OR ELSEWHERE IN THE BY-LAWS, MAY RESULT IN DISCIPLINARY ACTION BEING TAKEN BY THE CHEER ADIVSOR OR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. SUCH ACTION MAY INCLUDE REVOCATION OF MEMBERSHIP, THE RESULT OF WHICH WOULD PROHIBIT THE MEMBER, HIS OR HER FAMILY MEMBERS, OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATING UNDER THE SUSPENDED MEMBER'S MEMBERSHIP, FROM FURTHER PARTICIPATION IN ASSOCIATION SPORTS PROGRAMS.
