Overview

Commuter Meal Plans are available to Rose-Hulman students living off-campus and students living in Greek houses. For the 2016-17 academic year only, fourth year seniors living on campus may purchase a Commuter Meal Plan. Commuter Meal Plans offer convenience and savings on each meal purchased.

With the purchase of a Commuter Meal Plan, meal swipes will be deposited onto your ID card. Meal Swipes DOroll over from quarter to quarter, yet are forfeited at the end of the academic year.

The Commuter Meal Plans allow for the swipe to be used at any meal at the Vonderschmidt Café. These plans also allow for the swipe to be used for a meal equivalence for lunch, dinner or late night at Moench Café, Logan’s at the Library, Subway, C Store and other late night dining locations. Specific meal alternative information is available at each location and on the Café Bon Appetit Rose-Hulman Dining website.

The cost of your meal plan will be added to your tuition account.For questions concerning selection or changes to your commuter meal plan, contact Lyndi Bahr in the Student Affairs office.

Rosie Dollars

Rosie Dollars can be purchased with your Commuter Plan. Rosie Dollars can be used at any dining facility at any time, just like cash. Locations include the Vonderschmidt Café, Logan’s at the Library, Moench Café, Subway and any other available retail café. Students may dine, purchase items to go, or just grab a cup of coffee. To add Rosie Dollars Account, visit or download the free mobile app ‘GET’ for your android or iOS device. AllRosie Dollars remain in your account and rollforward at the end of each Quarter. Any unusedRosie Dollars in your accountat the end of the academic year will roll to the next year.

Unspent balances less than $25 upon withdrawal or graduation will be forfeited. Refunds of balances greater than $25 will be issued if requested in writing within 90 days after withdrawal or graduation from Rose-Hulman. Written requests should be submitted to the Student Financial Services office. All refund requests are subject to a $25 administrative fee. Balances remaining past 90 days after separation will be forfeited.

Unused Meals

Refunds of unused meal plan swipes are not available to students who leave the Institute at the end of the academicyear. A student that withdraws from the institute early, may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of the unused meal swipes based on actual plan usagesubject to a $25 administrative fee.
