Chairman:
Three individuals have expressed an interest in taking over the role of chairman. Eric will contact each of the candidates before the next meeting and report back.
The new bar furniture is now in place, making the bar area a more hospitable area. One damaged table is to be replaced and will allow two full teams to be seated.
It was agreed that the tables will be reserved for players during after match meal.

July figures are positive £3200 profit from sponsorship received from Michael Rhodes, Ian Thomas and Active Freight.
Good income expected from the bar over the coming months

Playing Report
Senior
1st team
Closed season has seen plenty of training with 12 new players signed up.
First match of the season Junior Vase against Reeds & Weybridge was a loss but there were positive points to take from the match.
2nd team
A disappointing start to first game of the season, with eight players turning out for a friendly against IOW and Lymington. Need to work on players taking more responsibility.
Junior
Juniors started this weekend with a good sessions and some new starters gained over the summer period via contact from the website.
Subs has increased by £5 with £60 for 1stchild, £55 for second and £50 for 3rd
U5’s and & U6’s has increased from £20 for the year to £45 with a free polo shirt embroidered with club logo and age group as part of the subs.
We are collecting subs via cash & cheque and also using the card machine. Card merchant receipts will be written on to indicate they are subs.
We are still struggling for Admin based volunteers. Current vacancies are
1)Catering admin & organisation
2)Actual catering (Bacon Sarnies) – I have not heard back from the persons who volunteered last year
3)Club house contact – Someone to be in the clubhouse during training and field any walk in questions.

BMW – can only supply 1 size of rugby balls but can supply 35 of them. What size do we go for ? (need a committee decision)

Kit
We are going to hold a stock of socks.
Question / Action- Can we set-up a juniors area of the club shop so parents can be easily directed to it. (Phil C)
QuestionAre we using online kit sales or creative images. Creative images are very expensive particularly since kid’s kit has to be replaced every 1-2 years (Kev & Phil C)
Safeguarding
Katherine has now got to grips with this, we are going to besafeguarding audited in mid October.
Need to check DBS status for all coaches (regardless of senior or Junior) and rectify quickly (Action katherine with help from Joceyln ??)
Need to check status of those individuals who have and haven’t gone through the “play it safe” training course (Action Katherine)
GMS needs updating from a junior perspective
Coaching coordination
Another Rugby ready course needed for Junior coaches. (Jamie to arrange ASAP)
Can we spread word through the seniors who might be interested in coaching (action Lusty & senior coaches)
Level 2 coaching course for senior coaches (need to confirm what and whom (action John Lee / senior coaching staff)
Coaching numbers for U8 age group are low given exit of current U8’s coach. Need to find a volunteer to run
Volunteers
Have managed to find volunteers for Fixtures (nearly) and Membership.
Still missing volunteers for
1)Catering admin
2)Actual catering (bacon sarnies & tea / coffee). [haven’t heard back from the persons who did it last year]
3)Clubhouse - someone to be in the clubhouse during training and be a person to answer / take any questions and ensure there is a presence in the clubhouse so it’s not left unattended

Social
Request to provide food on the 3rd October during the England Australia game and First home game of the season for the first team. Mark to negotiate cost with mobile caterer to include providing match food and burgers throughout the day. Mark to report back.
