It’s war and it has been war since before the foundation of the earth. And it will be war until there is a new heaven and new earth.
Romans 8:37 We can live as more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.
Eph. 1:4 You have been chosen in Christ Jesus before the foundation of the world
Eph. 6:10-11
- It is a strategic warfare against the devil himself , who is the commander in chief of the world itself. Greek methodeia: a plan or strategy
- It is a conflict in heavenly places.. (6:12) It is unseen to us, but it is not unknown.
Eph. 2:1-2
Eph. 6:12 Our warfare is against the rulers, the powers, the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual wickedness, NOT flesh and blood
Eph. 2:6 But YOU are seated in heavenly places
Eph. 1:29-23 It is always with the strength of HIS might.
This battle is not a conflict with flesh and bone.
Eph. 2:1, 4 This is what we were
Eph. 2:5-6 We are seated with Him in heavenly places
- It is a conflict that involves you, and every believer
Eph. 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints.
So how we help our fellow believers, is through prayer

The book of Job happens somewhere between the Garden of Eden and the crucifixion.
Job 1:6; 2:1 He is called one of the sons of God

Job 38:1-7 The morning stars is synonymous with the sons of God. They are angelic beings and they were there when God created the heavens and the earth.
Ez. 28:1-2 Leader: nagid (Hebrew) The ruler of Tyre saying he is a god but God tells him he is a man that wants to be God; to take the position of God.

Ez. 28:11-12 King of Tyre melek (Hebrew)
Ez. 28:12-13 You were in Eden, the garden of God. This could not be the one saying that he is God because he is a man. This one must be an angel.
Ez. 28:13-14 ….day that you were created, not born. You are a cherub
Ez. 10:1, 3-4 Cherubim, plural of cherub. This is a vision of angelic beings
Ez. 28:14-15 God placed him in the garden and he had access to God. This is a description of Satan.
Ez. 28:17 Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty…..pride
There are rulers and authorities in heavenly places.
I Tim. 3:6 Warning of taking new believers and putting them in positions of authority. This can lead to pride.
Ez. 28 We have seen an earthly ruler, the leader of Tyre, and we have seen a spiritual entity over him called the King of Tyre.
Daniel 10:10-13 ….stand upright, there’s a conflict going on. Stand upright.
“The prince of the kingdom of Persia was withstanding me for twenty-one days; then behold Michael, one of the chief princes came to help me, for I had been left there with the king of Persia.” This is going on in heaven, not here on earth.
Dan. 12:1 Michael, the great prince who stands guard over your people….
Dan. 10:20-21 Warfare going on in the heavenly places affects what’s going on here on earth.

Is. 54:17Once you are rescued, no weapon formed against you will stand.

Rev. 12:7-9 And there was a war in heaven….there has been a war from the Garden of Eden that affects mankind and will continue ‘til the end. That’s why you have to put on the full armor of God and stand firm. The dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down the serpent of old who is called the devil and satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to earth and his angels were thrown down with him.
This means that satan no longer has access to heaven!
Satan will be thrown down to earth at the 7th trumpet at the last 3 ½ years before Jesus comes back.
Gen. 3:15It was at Calvary that the head of the serpent was bruised and the heel of the seed of the woman. Jesus Christ was bruised at crucifixion and this is where the prince of this world was cast out and his power was taken away.
John 4:18 Perfect love casts out all fear.
Rev. 12:12-13 This woman is a picture of Israel

How did they overcome the devil?
Rev. 12:11 Because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony.
Sin is what gives the devil power, but if your sins are taken care of, then he has no power over you.
Eph. 6:14-16
The warfare is real, it is going to continue and it is not going to get less. But you can stand firm.
Zech. 3:1-2
Rev. 20:1-10 The end of satan is going to culminate in two wars.
The first battle will be at the end of this age.
Rev. 17:8 The beast that you saw…
Rev. 17:12-14 The Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful.
Rev. 19:11, 13-15 He is called the Word of God. The sword that comes out of His mouth is the Word of God
Rev. 19:16, 19 The whole world lies in the power of the evil one
Rev. 19:20 The beast and the false prophet are thrown into the lake of fire.
Rev. 20:1-2 The Battle of Armegeddon, the first war is over.
Rev. 20:7-10 When the thousand years are completed….
Then, the final war.
It is the Word of God that is our protection.
Eph. 1:4, 20; 2:6
Remember who you are because of whose you are. Where you are seated.So. Stand firm.
Remember: You are not alone.
Eph. 6:21-22 Raise up an army around you; men and women that love Jesus, that will fight with you.
