Role Title:Greenwich Lunch Club Volunteer

Department:Housing Management

Reports to:Older Tenants Worker

Location: Greenwich (Blackheath)

Overall Aim

Housing for women is recruiting an empathic, friendly, enthusiastic and motivated volunteer to join our Older Tenants Support Team.

The purpose of this role is to assist the Older Tenant Worker by serving food, clearing tables and washing up as well as providing friendly conversationto older tenants attending the club.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Serve food and beverages as required
  2. Set up and clearthe venue before and after the lunch club session
  3. Helping with cleaning duties, such as washing up, sweeping, tidying up and taking out trash.
  4. Escort attendees to their tables
  5. Provide companionship and a friendly conversation
  6. Work under the direction of the Older Tenants Worker and attend supervision sessions as required
  7. To act in accordance with the aims of Housing for Women

Availability

We require a volunteer to commit for 3 hours every 4th Friday of each month.

Full training and induction will be provided for the role

Volunteers are entitled to travel expenses to and from the place of work and their lunch on the day of the club will be provided free of charge. (Please note: expenses will be reimbursed against receipts only).

Housing for Women will conduct a full DBS Check if you are appointed
