Job Title / Live in RecoveryCaretaker
Location(s) / Redwood House Rochdale.
Salary / £10,624.11 per annum plus accommodation
Hours of work / Live In.36 Working hours
Responsible to: / Primary Housing Service Manager (Kerrie Lang)
Other Key Working Relationships / DAT, Social Services, Probation, Housing, Service delivery partners, government bodies. Commissioners and other key stakeholders.

Purpose of Job / Acorn Treatment & Housing is a caring and forward looking organisation looking to employ Recovery Caretakers for our Housing Provision across the North West.
Theaim of both treatment and housing services are to support those who have become dependant on substance, and to reduce the number of homeless substance users (drugs and alcohol) in the area.
You will provide safe and secure accommodation for tenants, ensuring service users health, safety and well-being is monitored.
Ensuring clients visitors have been cleared and agreed with Treatment staff.
Ensuring the buildings, its contents, garden/ground areas are in good order
You will have a clear understanding of safeguarding, security, health and safety,and a keen Interest in the recovery of substance misusers.
The role requires empathy, understanding, confidentiality and clear boundaries.

Principle Responsibilities
To ensure clients comply with there conditions of stay and their Housing Licence agreements.
Preparation of rooms for new client/tenant.
Ensuring that all tenants are back at the house, at a given time.
Tenants do not use loud music, or have music on, after a given time.
TV is switched off at a reasonable time.
Tenants are in bed at a reasonable time.
The security of the house is constantly checked.
Windows/doors are locked at 11pm.
Visitors leave at a given/appropriate time.
Visits are planned and agreed by Counsellors/Housing Co-ordinator.
Tenants sleeping away from the house has been agreed and planned with Treatment Project staff
Morning hand over is given via email, or verbally, to Treatment Project staff
Evening hand over is received via email, of verbally from Treatment Staff
Additional Responsibilities
To actively engage in supervision,and ongoing appraisal.
To adhere to all health and safety requirements.
To work within Acorn policies and procedures.
To work across operational sites as required.
Attend staff development team meetings.
To promote harmonious work relations within the team, throughout the service and related services and stakeholders.
To maintain basic IT literacy
To undertake any other task which may be deemed appropriate to the post
