Educational Outreach VolunteerPosition

Role and Link to Mission:

The role of the Educational Outreach Volunteer is to represent WAVAW in the community byrunning tables/booths at events and conferences, planning creative fundraisers, generating campaigns, blogging, attending relevant marches/protests/rallies, and public speaking.

An Educational Outreach Volunteer is the firstpoint of contact for people when they encounter WAVAW in the community, either looking for services, information, or immediate support. Volunteers speak out about the organization’s values and mission and are able to communicate effectively about WAVAW services. This helps to fulfill our mission to end all forms of violence against women, provide support and healing to women who have experience sexualized violence, and challenge and change systems that contribute to violence against women.
