This 2-day seminar will be divided into Excellent on Saturday and Novice/Open on Sunday. Susan will personalize topics upon advance request of the participants. Some topics being covered include distance handling, speed thru weaves at a distance without loosing that speed, and using the “Go On” and “Out” commands.

Susan Perry the owner of BLAST (Blue Lightning Agility Sport Training)—located in Gig Harbor, WA. is a full time agility teacher (classes, seminars and private lessons) who has many years’ experience in agility and has put multiple titles on her dogs in NADAC, ASCA,USDAA, CPE and AAC. Susan is a member of RAT (Rainier Agility Team), USDAA, and is a NADAC and ASCA agility judge. Susan also published a series of articles in Clean Run Magazine on training Distance Handling

To provide individualized attention to each team, working spots will be limited to 12 each day, with 1 working dog per handler. Auditing spaces are limited to 17 per day. Handlers of all skill levels are encouraged to attend as auditors. The cost for working teams is $175.00/day or both days for $325.00. Auditor fees are $100.00 a day or both days for $175.00. SOME of SUSAN PERRY’s ACHIEVEMENTS include:

Callie (Beagle mix—now retired) - trialed at top levels of competition in NADAC and USDAA, NADAC Agility Trial Champion (V-NATCH X 4), ASCA ATCH, USDAA APD, top three placements in five NADAC Championships she has entered including 2nd at the 2003 Championships at age 12, 2nd at 2003 AAC Regionals also when age 12 years and 3rd at the 2004 NADAC Championships in the "Double Digit" Class.

Lacey (Australian Shepherd) - NADAC NATCH (#16), S-Versatility NATCH, USDAA ADCH, ASCA S-ATCH (Agility Trial Champion). She was the winner of the 2002 West Coast Invitational Incredible Dog Challenge (nationally televised), took High in Elite and High in Trial at the 2002 and 2004 Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA) National Agility Competitions. Lacey and Susan have competed in the 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005 NADAC Championships. In 2001 she was the 3rd place winner in the Regular class. In 2003 at the Championships in the 20+ class she took 1st in Touch and Go and Tunnelers, 2nd in Elite Regular and Weavers and 4th in Jumpers. She was the only dog to receive the Versatility Champion Award at the 2003 Championships. At both the 2004 and 2005 NADAC Championships Lacey was the 20+ Elite "Grand Champion". In 2004 she won the 20+ Tunnelers and Touch and Go classes and the "High Cumulative Award" for the 20+ Elite class four out of five days at the Championships. In 2005 Lacey won (in addition to the 20+ Regular class) Weavers and took 2nd in Touch and Go.

Harley (Australian Shepherd) – NADAC S-NATCH and O-Versatility NATCH and ASCA ATCH. She earned the USDAA MAD in 2005. At the 2003 NADAC Championships she took 1st in the Pre-Elite Regular (20" class), Weavers and Jumpers and placed high enough in the other two classes to be the only Pre-Elite dog to receive the Versatility Award (only six Versatility Awards were given). At the 2004 NADAC Championships, Harley took 4thin the 20" Regular class and won both the 20" Touch and Go and Tunnelers classes. At the 2005 NADAC Championships Harley took 2nd in the 20" Regular class.
