Roehampton and Battersea (across 2 Wandsworth sites)

24 hours per week, 9:00am – 3:00pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)

We provide intensive support in our Roehampton and Battersea nursery project to parents and children under five where there are significant challenges with the parent/child relationship.

You will need to be:

  • Passionate about the importance of play in a child’s development and motivated to provide high quality play and learning opportunities for children with the full involvement of the parent
  • Committed to Equal Opportunities and understand the impact of deprivation and have an enthusiasm for improving the lives and opportunities of families and children.
  • Responsible for supporting parents in understanding the needs of their children, their parental role in their child’s development and the importance of play

An NVQ level 3 in Early Years and Childcare or the equivalent is required. You will also have experience in participating in the planning and delivery of a structured programme of play activities for children from birth to five using Early Years Foundation Stage learning goals. You will have a sensitive non-judgemental and professional approach and excellent assessment and record keeping skills including IT skills
