Season permit or daily receipt must be displayed on driver’s side dashboard at all times. Vehicles without permit will be ticketed.

*Season permits are available at the RockyHillParks and Recreation Office, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Rocky Hill residents must bring proof of residency and current boat registration to the office. The addresses must be the same. Residents who launch without a season permit must pay $30.00 daily fee to attendant. No refunds will be given.

Season passes are not transferable. Attendants at the park will check the boat identification number that is listed on the pass to be sure they match. If those numbers do not match, the boater will be charged the daily fee without a refund. FerryParklaunch attendants will enforce the rules during scheduled hours. FERRYPARK BOAT LAUNCH RULES

1. FerryPark is closed from dark until dawn. Boaters coming off the river after dark should contact the Parks and Recreation Department ahead of time or risk police action. Boaters can also notify police department directly.

2. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.

3. No swimming allowed.

4. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Pick up after your dog.

5. Fishing is only allowed on specified fishing dock.

6. Parking allowed in lined slots only. The long parking spaces are for vehicles with boat trailers in tow. Cars must park in smaller spaces around perimeter of lot. No parking in traffic lanes or near boat launch. The combination of boat and trailer should not exceed 8 tons maximum.

7. The boat launch is closed when all parking spaces are filled. The long trailer parking spaces are for vehicles with trailers ONLY.

8. All launch users using ramp must give their name, address and registration number to attendant. All boaters are subject to the State of Connecticut Boating Statutes and Regulations.

9. Docks are intended for embarking and disembarking from boats. Fifteen-minute tie-ups are allowed. Any boat tied up longer periods will face removal, towing and storage charges.

10. Boaters are not allowed to load boat on the ramp. Prepare for launching prior to proceeding to the ramp.

11. Boaters leaving the river must clear ramp prior to securing their boat.

12. Any boaters causing excessive wake, noise or operating in a hazardous manner will risk police action and will be refused future use of the Ferry Park Boat Launch.

13. Non motorized vessels such as wind surfers, canoes, kayaks, etc. may be launched at the ramp free of charge.

14. State of CT DEP vessels may launch free of charge.

15. Boat launch attendants may refuse launch privileges to any boater for abusive language, inappropriate behavior or violating the launch rules.
