Rockwell Community Centre- GP Patient Experience Survey

We conducted this survey on behalf of the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), to inform them of how satisfied individuals are with their GP practice and also how things could be improved. All answers given were completely anonymous and as we are impartial people felt encouraged answering honestly.

57 participants completed the survey form either as part of a group session or at a face to face interview.

Do you have any further comments to add about your experience of using your GP services?

“maybe offer a drop in service for patients to sit and wait” (Idle Medical Practice)

“maybe employ another receptionist so it is easier to get an appointment on the day” (Ashcroft)

“beeper service which is no good for the blind of deaf, needs verbal communication as well” (Haigh Hall)

“wish receptionist would listen as sometimes nurses can’t always give certain injections” (Moorside Surgery)

“glad Dr Winn has left, service now so much better” (Rockwell & Wrose)

“GP service good but referring me to a counsellor has taken 7 months so far and still no appointment, could improve this service” (Windhill Medical Centre)

“easy to get through on the phone but hard to get an appointment” (Idle Medical Practice)

“if the appointment is for a baby you can get one but for an adult you have to keep ringing at 8.30 in a morning but the phones are always busy so you still can’t get an appointment and the receptionists are unhelpful. Also only get test results by text so never explained”

“The best in Bradford” (Haigh Hall)

“I find the GPs fresh out of hospital quite hostile, perhaps it is because they are used to emergency patients only (Westcliffe)

“when you call for an appointment you are usually told there are none for the next two weeks and to call back the next morning. It then takes 30 minutes to get through on the phone in the morning and still no appointments. When I do visit the GP I feel I am nor very well listened to and the diagnosis is there before I have finished explaining what is up” (Thornbury Medical Centre)

“I am extremely happy because of the appointments system giving me quick access to a GP plus the caring nature of the GPs” (Rockwell & Wrose)
