District Supervisor
Responsible To:
Program Director/Executive Director
Qualifications:
The applicant will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and severalyears’related experienceis preferred. The applicant will have excellent organizational, verbal and written skills. The applicant will be a team player and be willing to upgrade skills and be in attendance at growth and development workshops provided by RockHaven.
Position Overview:
As a District Supervisor you will supervise a region of foster homes and the foster children residing in those homes. You will develop, implement and evaluate Treatment Plans for the foster children under your care. You will support the foster family as well as the foster children to best meet the needs of the Child.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Conduct and recordPlans of Care Meetings
Develop and Implement Treatment Plans as part of a team of professionals
Attend any and all meetings for the children on your caseload (school meetings, case conferences, Therapy consultations, etc.)
Report Serious Occurrences/Incidents to the Ministry and the Children’s Aid Society within required timelines
Correspond and communicate regularly and effectively with other members of the child’s treatment team (Foster Parents, CAS Workers, Child and Youth Counsellor’s, Therapists, Members of RockHaven Staff, etc.)
Organize and attend monthly home visits with all of your homes (includes a home safety assessment)
Organize and attend private visits every six weeks with the foster children on your caseload
Attend annual review meetings for the foster families
Document all conversations by completing case notes
Attend and participate in monthly RockHaven Child Review Meetings
Prepare Child Profiles in advance of all Child Review Meetings
Implement/monitor all supports as discussed during Child Review Meetings in a timely manner
Attend and participate fully in monthly Team Meetings
Participate in the interview process for the hiring of staff (ex. Child and Youth Workers)
Assist in placement process as part of the team
Debrief regularly with Program Director
Be on-call 24-7 for all foster family/child emergency situations; be able to support Foster Family/Child through crisis and if necessary go to crisis situation and assist; inform Program Director (this on-call responsibility requires individual to carry a RockHaven supplied cell phone on them at all times - sufficient Vacation time compensates for this responsibility)

Takes initiative
Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (to be obtained upon hire if not already certified)
Certification in First Aid/CPR (to be obtained upon hire if not already certified)
Has a heart for helping children and youth and always has the children’s best interests in mind
