'' I've never believed in that old adage about falling in love at first site — but upon stepping foot in the Sea Heart House i must admit i was quite smitten. The house, serenely situated high atop a hill and deep inside of a verdant forest, affords discerning privacy whilst remaining a few steps away from everything that makes Sri Lanka culturally rich.
Standing on top of this unspoiled hillside i could feel my lungs thank me for every clean gulp of air.
Floating in the pool, watching the sun play hide and seek, i could feel my heart find a new rhythm…….
Lounging on the couch watching Koggala Lake endlessly change its hue, i felt my mind easing its grip on my soul. The bike rides up-and-down the village roads, squirreling through the forest, in-and-out of the rice paddies, afforded me the most genuine local smiles i’ve witnessed this side of adulthood. the beautifully prepared meals, composed wholly from fruits, vegetables and fish found naturally a few meters away from the dinner table, finally satiated my hunger.
At night, encompassed in the sounds of the forest, i slept like a babe in the woods. I do believe that i was in competition with ''Hope'' and ''Danger'', my fearless four legged companions, as to who could be the most zen for the longest duration. I'd like to think i gave them a run for their money!
For many visitors who venture to the Southern parts of Sri Lanka, oceanside dwelling is the default setting. However, i’d like to suggest that the road less traveled in this case, the one that will leave the dull roar behind, is headed up a hill, into a forest, and straight into your dreams.!''

'' Our stay at Sea Heart House was 5* from the minute we arrived. The house is set on a hilltop tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna and Galle but close enough if you want to venture out. The design of the house epitomizes 'outdoor/indoor living' with a great array of living areas to relax in and look out at the most spectacular view.
The bedrooms are all fantastic sizes with beautifully designed bathrooms and the garden and pool are excellent. Did I mention the view????!!!!!! Lake Koggala has to be one of the most tranquil places. If you fancy venturing on to it, Pethum, the amazing chef/manager will organize for you to jump on a boat at the bottom of the garden and you can go and visit the stunning islands scattered around. We visited a family on their own cinnamon island, there is an island with a beautiful temple and also a herb and natural remedy garden. The food cooked by Pethum and his right-hand man never failed to disappoint. The breakfasts were breakfasts of kings, the Sri Lankan dishes the prepared were full of flavor and stunning and each day, they produced something different and special. Our children are aged 6 and 4 and this property was perfect for them.
Places to explore and a lovely swimming pool. However, due to its design, there are a few steps and ledges so if you have younger children, you will need to be really careful. The staff who looked after us and the property worked so hard and were warm, friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We will look back on our holiday at Seaheart with the best memories and cannot wait to return soon.''

"The villa is spacious and very well appointed. The house manager and chef, Pethum, was very helpful and an excellent chef. I recommend his prawn dishes but he really came into his own when my mother (in her late 70s) had a possible cardiac event arranging an immediate visit from a houseman at the Galle hospital and then helping us navigate our way round the hospital in Galle. We stayed 10 nights and saw most of the local sights. The monsoon was in full swing in late July and this meant that lounging round the pool was rarely an option but when the sun is out it is a beautiful spot. It is very private and a much better option than the rather impersonal 5 star hotels on the beach side of the lake "

'' We have just returned from a two week holiday in Sri Lanka - we stayed in a number of places in the Galle area and luckily Sea Heart House was one of those. It is a beautiful, modern villa perched on the shores of Koggala Lake. Emma, Pethum and the team are very professional and friendly.
We have rented lots of holiday properties over the years and it's fair to say this is by far the most stunning. It's like a boutique hotel all to yourselves - the pool and the views are stunning. It is quite remote so definitely a place for chilling and relaxing. The home cooked food was very good and Pethum was very obliging in booking any activities - I would recommend a visit to the local tea plantation and a boat trip around the lake, they even pick you up at the house! So if staying in the Galle area, treat yourselves to a few day's luxury at Sea Heart House...''
