RMTBC is pleased to be partnering with Dr. Nikita Vizniak and Professional Health Systems to offer 4 one-day modules in Advanced Clinical Reasoning & Practical Integration. We will be offering these modules around the province.

Do you know how to determine if the low back, visceral referral or SI joints are playing the key role in a clinical presentation? Are you able to differentially diagnose tissue specific injuries? Would you like to learn more about WHERE to treat, WHAT to treat and WHEN? Are you ready to go to the next level with rapid instructional design and incorporation of proven techniques used by professional athletes top clinicians around the world?

Evidence informed clinical reasoning with practical integration makes treatment more effective & allows for integration within your healthcare network. These one-day modules, each worth 7PE/A2 CMTBC credits, are presented by globally recognized author and educator Dr. Nikita Vizniak and the proHealth Team. These courses will assist RMTs in building clinical reasoning skills with evidence based best practices and making release techniques more effective.

Go from basic Anatomy to clinical assessment, condition recognition and multidisciplinary integrated treatment! – Where do you fit as part of a patient centered healthcare team?

Basic format per module(20% lecture /80% hands on)

  • Hands on anatomy & palpation review (bone, ligament, joint, muscle, nerve, vessel, fascia)
  • Evidence based clinical integration of assessment with pathology & evidence informed treatment options listed below:
  • Efficient biomechanics - work smarter instead of harder to prevent injury and get better results
  • Assessment Orthopedic & neurologic testing – have an accurate clinical understanding of the patients specific injury, compensation & dysfunction, differential diagnosis.
  • Basic & Advanced Stretching
  • Learn the critical thinking process, clinical integration and evidence based best practice methods and NOT memorization of protocols.
  • Learn how to use Muscle energy technique (MET), Contract relax (CR), Post-isometric relaxation (PIR), Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), Agonist contract (AC) technique
  • Pin & stretch (PS) technique, Active Myofascial Release (AMR) or soft tissue release (STR), Acupressure & trigger point release techniques
  • Joint mobilization – learn the best practical application of joint mobilization safely and effectively.

At the end of the each module participants will receive a certificate of completion. If they chose, upon completion of all 4 modules, participants may sit for an exam that would qualify them to be certified by professional health systems as a Certified ProHealth Certified Provider (level 1)

4 Modules for ProHealth Certification –

  1. Low back & SI (includes abdominal viscera)
  2. Upper back & neck (includes thoracic viscera)
  3. Shoulder & upper extremity
  4. Hip & lower extremity

There are 4 books in the “Quick Reference Evidence Based Clinical Series” ($150 value):Muscle Manual, Spinal Manual, Extremity Manual, Physical Medicine. These will be dispersed according to the module.
