  • Mrs. Mudrich Pagan introduces herself and other SAC members in attendance.

School Advisory Council Updates

  • SAC Bylaws – Submitted on Sept. 25th
  • SAC Composition – Submitted Sept. 30th
  • Stakeholders Training – Standards and Indicators Matching and Scavenger Hunt

Mrs. Mudrich-Pagan facilitated the trainings for the staff, parents, and community members present.

  • ASSIST Self-Assessment due on October 9th – Feedback solicited from stakeholders

  • The Florida Department of Education plans to send out the individual student reports late October.
  • Riverland Elementary School was rated a “C” at the conclusion of the 2013-2014 school year. School grades have not been released for the 2014-2015 school year, but we are moving in the right direction toward our goal of becoming, once again, an “A” rated school.
  • Student Enrollment, Staffing & Class Sizes
  • K-5 = 595 students; Pre-K = 35 students
  • We are 100 percent staffed and have welcomed two new staff members since the start of the school year.
  • All classes meet class size requirements.
  • General Obligation (SMART) Bond – Passed November 4, 2014
  • The Safety, Music & Art, Athletics, Renovations, and Technology (SMART) referendum will provide $800 million dollars to Broward County Schools over the next five years.
  • Riverland Elementary School will receive $1.95 million for in-progress and planned projects.
  • Parental Input For Instructional and School-Based Administrator Evaluations
  • In accordance with Florida Statute 1012.34, parents have the right to provide input into the performance evaluations of instructional and/or administrative employees. Parents interested in providing input into the performance evaluations of Riverland Elementary School’s instructional and/or administrative employees may contact our office at (754) 323-7200 through April 15, 2016.
