MH Life Skills

M, W, F / Skills training designed to address the needs of adults with chronic MH issues. Emphasis is placed on understanding diagnoses and ways in which adaptive social and life skills can alleviate symptoms and facilitate recovery. Cognitive strategies are presented which can be applied in home, work, and community settings to aid in coping with day to day stressors. Curriculum: SAMHSA Illness Management and Recovery and Eli Lily Wellness Solutions Program.

9AM-2 PM / Substance Abuse group for women that utilizes the Matrix curriculum. Nurture Parenting, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse. Clients are also educated on Relapse Prevention and develop a personal Relapse Prevention plan prior to completion.

Strengthening Families

Strengthening Families involves elementary school children, 6 to 12 years of age and their families in 14 family sessions using family systems and cognitive behavioral approaches to increase resilience and reduce risk factors. It seeks to improve family relationships, parenting skills, and youth’s social and life skills.
