RISK PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Information for Nominations

PURPOSE:

·  Recognize an individual who exemplifies excellence, innovation and commitment to the Risk and Insurance Management field.

ELIGIBILITY:

·  Candidate must be a full-time professional, employed by the same public entity for a minimum of two consecutive years, with decision making responsibilities overseeing risk and insurance related areas such as risk management, employee benefits, safety, workers compensation, claims management, insurance procurement, etc.

·  Candidate must be a current active member of South Carolina PRIMA.

NOMINATIONS:

·  Candidate may nominate him/herself or can be nominated by a South Carolina PRIMA Board member, a sponsoring entity of South Carolina PRIMA, or by an active member of South Carolina PRIMA.

SELECTION PROCESS:

·  Once nominated, the candidate will be mailed an Award Nomination Questionnaire that he or she must complete and return to South Carolina PRIMA by the indicated deadline.

·  Winner selection of the South Carolina PRIMA Risk Professional of the Year is made by the South Carolina PRIMA Board. Each board member will individually and numerically rank candidates without discussion or conference with any other board member.

·  The candidate with the most points allotted by the South Carolina PRIMA Board will be determined the winner.

THE AWARD:

·  South Carolina PRIMA’s Risk Professional of the Year will be announced at the Annual Conference.

·  The recipient will receive an engraved award.

·  The recipient will be recognized on the South Carolina PRIMA web page.

·  The recipient will be eligible to receive a $1,000 stipend for the National PRIMA conference in Phoenix, Arizona in June 2017.
