Clinic Format:

Working Horsemanship:

·  Craig’s clinic will take you from “beginning to winning”. He will take you from wherever you are and take you and your horse to a new level of horsemanship using his famous “Ride Smart” program. This is the basis of his clinic and works for everyone regardless of where you are with your horse and you will receive a lot of individual attention.

·  Working Clinics can include round pen training, working on hand, seat and balance, hobbling, knot tying, trailer loading and more. Plus, the popular challenge trail course.

·  You should be able to walk, trot and canter your horse comfortably. You should also know the basics; cleaning feet, saddling, etc. Green horses are accepted, however this is not a colt start.

·  With all that said there is no “specific” agenda. The day will be based on you and your needs. Craig will assess every person and horse the first morning of the clinic and be able to see what you need, whether you are trying to get the correct lead or improve a spin. He has the ability to work on several different things at one time and keep it all flowing and interesting.

Flare of The Extreme Cowboy Race:

·  Craig may take you outside the arena for a little challenge course which can cover water crossing and other obstacles. You will put to “use” all things covered inside the arena and putting it to a purpose. He usually finishes with a “friendly competition”.

Video & Audiotaping:

Video & Audiotaping needs to be cleared by Craig Cameron PRIOR to clinic start time.

Horses:

The State of California requires all horses entering the state to have a Negative Coggins within the last 12 months. This test takes some time, so if traveling from out of state, please plan ahead. Your horse should be healthy and in good shape – you will be in the saddle most of the day.

You should be able to walk, trot and canter comfortably on a loose rein.

Horsekeeping:

Please try to arrive before dark as it makes it easier to find your way around. The stalls are covered. Bring a water bucket, bedding and hay.

You are responsible for cleaning your own stall daily and before you leave. If stalls are not clean upon departure you will be charged an additional $25.00.

Hay:

If you need to purchase hay, the local feed store, Shasta Feed 530-347-6033 has good quality Grass Hay.
