Dear Parent(s),

The Richlands Middle School Bands will present their annual Christmas Concert (WITH the RMS Choirs) on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Richlands Middle School Auditorium. The concert will begin at 6:30pm and will conclude with a grand finale with the 7th & 8th Grade Bands & Choirs at approximately 8:00pm . This performance is REQUIRED of all RMS Band Students. There is no admission, but we do ask that you bring one or two cans of non-perishable food to benefit the Good Samaritan Food Pantry. Containers will be placed at the front of the auditorium for you your donations. Listed below are important times, procedures and expectations to make this performance successful.

Sixth Grade Band: You will assemble your instrument in the band room and patiently wait for Mr. Miller to escort you to the Auditorium. Your report time in the band room is 6:00pm. (Early is on time, on time is late.!!)

Seventh & Eighth Grade Band: You will take your instrument case to the cafeteria, assemble your instrument, and report to the auditorium for warm-up. Your report time on stage is 5:30pm. (Early is on time, on time is late.!!) You will have 1 after school rehearsal on the following date: December 12, 2017 at 3:25pm-4:45pm. Please make sure your attends this rehearsal and that someone picks them up at the appropriate time. This rehearsal is important for the success of this concert.

CONCERT ATTIRE

Ladies: All RMS dress code regulations will be observed. In other words, if you cannot wear it to school, you cannot wear it to the concert. Dresses, skirts, and nice pantsuits are acceptable. Tennis shoes are not acceptable. All RMS dress codes will be followed. If there are issues with dress code, please contact Mr. Miller ASAP.

Gentlemen: Dress shirt, tie, dress pants, and dress shoes are acceptable. Tennis shoes and jeans are not acceptable. Dress shirts may be short or long sleeve and any color. Dress pants may be khaki, corduroys, or suit pants. All RMS dress codes will be followed. If there are issues with dress code, please contact Mr. Miller ASAP.

Please make sure your child is dressed properly so he/she will be able to participate in the concert and available for after school rehearsal. They have prepared very well and are excited to show off their talents to you.
