RICHES (SONG TITLE WINNER 2017)

Where do I begin? For just one moment in time I may dream a little dream that if I were a rich man I could be a big spender and do these foolish things, ‘cos everyone knows that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. Imagine what it would be like if you had all the gold in California.

But being rich with money, money, money is not going to make you really happy. You should consider yourself rich with friends, dear hearts and gentle people and accentuate the positive, never forgetting what a wonderful world we live in.

Because we have feelings, it is how wonderful to knowthat mistakes, jealousy and forgive me can all be a memoryof the way we were. It’s impossible to be thinking who’s sorry now? You have to put on a happy face, dodge the April showers and go downtown on the sunny side of the street, and even have a pint down at the ‘Old Bull and Bush.’

Call me a cockeyed optimistbut as time goes by you realise happiness is found in a certain smile, good news, my mother’s eyes and in shaking the blues away. You’ll never walk alone if you smile, because people who need people will be walking back to happiness with you knowing that help is always at hand; remember that’s what friends are for. You’ll never know that old feeling of ‘are you lonesome tonight?’as time after time people will tell you we are family.

It is not an impossible dream or an unforgettable memory. I believe it is just one of those things. If once in a while are youlonesome tonight when you could rock around the clock and strike up the band. With the right people around you, you can feel you are walking on airand I could havedanced all night. You’re nobody till somebody loves you. So say ‘Hey world, here I am!’ I’m sitting on top of the world and that’s when life is worth living.

If we take a sentimental journey to the way we werewe would realise that love changes everything and what started asstrangers in the night slowly evolves into some happy, happy talk, somebody to loveand yes sir, that’s my baby! A bundle of joy which signals goodbye to nine to five, sweet dreams and instead to what’ll I do?...help!

There’ll be some changes made but soon that sweet baby face will be five foot two, eyes of blue and you will be lost in them there eyes. You will be asking herhow many hearts haveyou broken and as time goes by you will realise it was a time of good vibrations.

With the wind beneath my wings, with a song in my heart and somebody to love you will know this is the best of times…..material world…….crazy!
