NEW! Operations & Maintenance Planner– This course focuses on developing Asbestos Management Plans for Public and Commercial buildings which are not AHERA regulated. Training materials are provided in order to create and implement an effective management plans for general businesses and public buildings. Successful completion satisfies ASHARA asbestos program manager requirements.

NEW! Designated Person Training– Are you new to a facility or have been assigned as the Designated Person in an AHERA school, public or commercial building? This one day overview provides insight into basic information about asbestos history, uses and health effects, response actions, and how to address asbestos concerns.

NEW! OSHA Asbestos Awareness– A 2hr awareness class that fulfills the AHERA and ASHARA annual requirements of custodial and janitorial staff who work within facilities that contain asbestos containing materials but are not involved in the removal and repair of asbestos.

NEW! OSHA Lead Awareness– A 2hr awareness class designed to inform attendees of the health hazards, Personal Protective Equipment and risks associated when working with Lead. Note: This is not a RRP class.

NEW! OSHA Hexavalent Chromium Awareness- A 2hr awareness class designed to inform attendees of the health effects and risks associated when working with Hexavalent Chromium related industries as well as Personal Protective Equipment and environmental monitoring procedures.

NEW! OSHA Silica Dust Awareness- A 2hr awareness class designed to inform attendees of the health effects and risks associated when workingwith Silica related trades as well as environmental monitoring procedures.

ASBESTOS TRAINING COURSES(RI DOH/MA DOS/ US EPA)

Contractor/Supervisor Training- This course prepares the participant to interpret the data from asbestos abatement specifications and project designs, insight about building systems and all applicable asbestos-related regulations, supervise and direct an asbestos abatement project. In addition to all hands-on training presented in the worker course, supervisors extensively review pertinent regulations, management checklists, and supervisory documentation responsibilities.

Inspector - The purpose of this course is to equip and certify the participant to conduct inspections for suspect asbestos materials, to collect samples, and to assess the condition of the material based on EPA protocols and to satisfy OSHA related employee exposure criteria.

Management Planner- This course provides graduates of the Building Inspector course with the knowledge and practical experience to create EPA required management plans for schools, and EPA recommended plans for general industry, commercial and public buildings. Class prerequisite requires proof of prior Asbestos Inspector certificate.

Competent Person– This course is geared towards facilities and maintenance workers, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and others who perform operations that disturb less than 3 square feet or 3 linear feet (OSHA Class III) of asbestos containing material; or whose work takes them into asbestos regulated areas.

# Project Monitor– This course reviews the needs and requirements of safe work practices for asbestos abatement including: regulatory compliance; containment construction and maintenance of integrity; work practices and adherence to contract specifications; visual inspections of abatement containments and adjacent area; air testing for employee exposure and ambient sampling for exposure assessments. # = course is taught in a Massachusetts location

** Project Designer Refresher– This refresher course reviews data interpretation of building inspections for suspect asbestos materials, laboratory analysis of samples, building systems review, and all applicable asbestos-related regulations in order to develop a design for an asbestos abatement project and/or create Alternative Work Practices and associated State abatement plan applications.** = initial training course not offered for this discipline

**Worker/Handler– This refresher course reviews proper asbestos abatement procedures and according to all prevailing federal and state standards. Training segments for containment construction, erection of decontamination chambers, glove bag operations, use and care of respirators, recognition of tools, familiarity with equipment including HEPA vacuums and air sampling devices.** = initial course training not offered for this discipline
